Why ? I know a couple of game devs ..... not huge companies or anything but game devs are everywhere now days man .... my local university has a 4 year graduate course in game development and design ... I’m more surprised that there aren’t more devs on here telling us this stuff

Cooking hamburger helper doesn't make you a chef. Scribbling in your diary doesn't make you a writer. Doodling in your notebook doesn't make you an artist. Graduating with a game design degree doesn't make you a developer. What makes you these things is being recognized and having published works. I did coding in high school but I don't call myself a coder/programmer. Hell, I even went to college on an art scholarship but you wouldn't really catch me calling myself an artist because I tend to hate everything I've created. Without any kind of supporting evidence or published work to reference, this may as well be just another "my dad works at Nintendo" claim.
