Bungie does not have the freedom to do that. Unlike Square, Bungie answers to Activision, its publisher, who controls deadlines and requires releases. If Bungie fails to deliver, by contract their company gets sucked up by Activision as a subsidiary. It’s a huge legal issue that Square doesn’t have to worry about at all.

  • So it would have to be activision who tells them to do it then? which they aren't paying any attention to any of this probably. they got their money.

  • Activision wins no matter what - they either get sales from players who later regret their purchase or they get an entire company to siphon money from until the company dies. It’s what EA does, too. Gaming publishers are pure evil.
