I do think a version of this is defiantly going on. What we'll get is changes they can push out in the time they can that will have the largest impact. What will happen is even though they will be trying, the community will bash them. Hell they could complete these changes in 3 month, which is impossible, and they would still burn them at the stake.

It took them 2-3 years to deliver a good game. Why should anyone cut them slack the second time around?

The let down is that we built these massive expectations that were not promised. We built them in our own minds based off of nothing. Maybe a developer comment here and there but not off of details. It is also obvious that they will support the game like they did the last one. Which took a while before people were content. But many still complained. That will never stop and you're right it doesn't matter what they do, that'll always happen. And this is not the second game in a row. You should have been around for Halo Reach lol. Always remember that the loudest is not always correct or the most correct.
