The world has gone soft, gone of the days where if you are bad at something, you keep trying and get better.
Now, every-one wants a medal, no matter what no one can feel left out, if you loose you must get a reward or its unfair? Seriously.. we are bringing our kids up in a world where they think they deserve things when they dont put effort in and practice, practice, practice.
This game has taken that on bored, take The Prestige Raid for example, the gear is "Cosmetic and will give no advantage, here at bungie we did not want players to feel left out if they could not pass the raid" So why should the players that can actually pass the end game content, that you work hard on creating get pretty much nothing for doing it? Why do we have to deal with this just because some players dont want to feel left out are you serious?
What is the incentive for the people that can clear the prestige raid? we get a pretty little sticker to say yay look at me.. come on Bungie! Are you not even going to put Perks on the Prestige gear that will give us an Advantage in the raid at all?
Us as Humans are already quite entited these days, is this really a good way to bring our children up? "Dont worry if you loose little Jimmy, you still get a medal" why would Little Jimmy even try then? he knows hes going to be rewarded either way. If i was bad at something that i wanted to succeed in i was always told to practice, practice until you are good enough for the rewards. Until then, Its really just to bad.
I just feel we are going way to soft on everything and Bungie has picked up on that.
All i want Bungie and alot of other players like myself, is something really hard to beat, that does offer good rewards and advantages, i dont want to be some OP lunatic or anything, a slight advantage for completing ball breaking activities would be nice though.

I think if you aren't playing to win, then you shouldn't be playing at all. The incentive isn't the reward, you play to win. Every time I load up a crucible match, I play to win. Every time I load up Iron Banner, I play to win. Winning means more in Iron Banner than it does in the Crucible; there's the endgame PvP. I know that may seem to contradict, but it doesn't. Winning is success, and success is fun. In the past, there never was a reward for playing video games, you played for fun. I think its time the Destiny community realized that grinding is ultimately meaningless. You play for fun, and if you don't have fun, stop playing. There is something to do though, make no mistake. Whether or not the rewards are worth it is subjective. I wonder how many people are going to get a full Prestige raid gear set. Not many I suppose. And those that do will feel Elite after all is said and done, at least I would. I don't suspect I will be getting that far, but its not on my end, in my opinion. Raids are a team based activity, everyone has to pull there weight, and getting a good group isn't easy. In the end, most of the criticism about power lever, etc. is quite shallow indeed.
