After work, I got home and hit up all my buddies that I usually raid with to get on and do the hard mode raid. After about an hour in the raid and a few stupid deaths one of our clan mates said "why are we even doing this?" And it dawned on me, why WERE we doing the prestige raid, there's no new gear, no new weapons, and our power levels would stay the same. So we quit, after an hour of something we just said -blam!- it. Now since September 09, 2014 I have been a HUGE destiny supporter and fan. I got it midnight release, and played it religiously, first on PS4 and now on Xbox one. Even then when people had a lot of issues with it, I always had fun whether grinding for weapons I didn't have or better versions or just trying to get raid ready I had a blast and played every chance I got. Even prior to D2 release I was online everyday over the summer frothing at the mouth looking for new information to satiate my hunger for more destiny. I even went through a really hard time in my personal life with drug addiction and the only light I had then was destiny. Since destiny 2 release I have kept my mouth shut about everything, I haven't complained once even with glaring issues with terrible exotics, static rolls on weapons, and just an all around dumbed down version of the game I loved. Even with so much more content, it felt hollow and empty but I kept playing, hoping something would change. And now with a prestige mode raid with nothing to offer but a mother -blam!-ing shader I'm beyond pissed. I can say that this is the first time in 3 years of a game I have legitimately been let down. Seriously whether this gets lost in the masses of other whiney complaining posts or someone actually takes the time to read this, I just want the team at bungie to know how disappointing of a game they have made. Bungie if anyone reads this, you have turned a hobby of mine into something I don't even want to bother with anymore. You have turned a pleasant past time into a huge disappointment. Whatever your intentions were to get more people to play, you -blam!-ed over the most important people that play your game, the day 1, hardcore fan boys that defended your game at every corner, but I can no longer defend something I have lost complete faith in. I hope the overly simplified and boring game you made to reach casuals is something you can take pride in because for me I can no longer be a proud fan of this game.
