Real talk: Who wants the sun to be an explorable planet?
So, I was remembering about that one mission in the story where you got to fight so close to the sun and thought how awesome Bungie made the sun look. Not shortly after, I thought about that one old post on the forums where the guy wanted the sun to be explorable, and now I really want that to happen. Yes, there are many reasons as to why it wouldn't make sense, but you have to admit, it would be really cool regardless.

1 ReplyInstead of actually exploring the star we could explore a location around it. Maybe a space station or outpost of some sort. The mechanic of being in direct light burns you could be an interesting factor. Another idea, maybe the vex or whoever managed to create some kind of installation inside the sun which could be explorable. I personally see a star as more of a background object which could look really cool as well as add some game mechanics (mainly because as a star it’s just gas mainly). Such as being in direct light can burn you or maybe just being outside the gravity is doubled or reduced.
