Who gets the profits from Bible sales?

I pirated an ebook bible. Is this bad?

And OT, the money probably goes to the publishing company. Some church groups have private printing companies too, and their profits probably go to help their group of churches or a charity of sorts. To answer the OP, non-profit Bible publishers like the Gideon's usually put as much back into publishing more bibles as they can, whereas I would suppose that other for-profit publishers just keep the profits.

Bible's available online, and there are several places where you can get copies free. Generally, the "expensive" bibles are given as gifts. Other times, teh expensive Bible's have study notes or very in-depth concordances (an alphabetical index of the principal words of a book, as of the Bible, with a reference to the passage in which each occurs).

Anyways, the stores probably end up getting the profits.
