way are we no longer iron lords? what happend?
I don't know what Bubgie was thinking. But Lord Saladin is not the last iron lord. Anyone that played D1s rise of iron is an ion lord, but in D2 we get that taken away from us. What I think is Bungie didn't know how to make it where the people from D1 are iron lord and all the new people aren't. So they just though it out when iron banner came back, but on the first mission Lord Shaxx called us Lord Saladin young wolf. what is going on Bungie?

2 RepliesTyra Karn lost her memory when Ghaul caged the Traveller, its possible the same thing happened with Saladin. They're both amongst the oldest Guardians.

I think it’s because both veteran and new guardians are playing together in one activity compared to the story which is not repeated like IB.

It's stupid considering in the first missions you are refereed to as his young wolf, yet when he turns up it's like hey person I don't know and have never met, even the Cryptarch from the temple, oh have I met you before.... Oh you know I'm just the person who you know saved everyone from Siva.

Perhaps he means the original Iron Lords. Efrideet, Perun, Jolder, Gheleon, and the rest. We're the first of a new generation, a group from a far easier time

It could be also a bug of some sort like Saladin should have different dialogs for new Guardians and Veterans, so probably for some reason the Veterans dialogs didn't trigger to no one and he considered all of us like new players. As you wrote, Shaxx recognize us as the Young Wolf and also Cayde-6 on a Strike on Nessus says that Saladin is always talking about us. So, yep, probably just a bug... I wanna hope...

This is the way I think of it. I’m the same way that people can be knighted now, that’s how we became iron lords. We aren’t really knights or iron lords, they existed earlier, it’s sort of like a symbol or honorary thing

I'm going with the fact that they forgot to amend this because the game has been under development since before Rise of Iron. Either that or Saladin is just as addled as Tyra, I was really hoping to be greeted by him since Shaxx calls us "Saladin's Young Wolf".
