Shotgun vs Energy sword
Though the shotgun beats the energy sword, energy sword usually beats other weapons close range but the shotgun does not. For example if a person runs up to a person with a assault rifle and sees a person with a shotgun, the player can just keep backing up and might win the fight but if the other player had an energy sword the other player would win because of the lunge.
That's my thoughts on the matter. Anyone agree? Or disagree?

I am saying that an energy sword is more effective against different weapons than the shotgun but shotgun still beats energy sword.

No form an versus invasion video at 12 or 13 feet it only takes 3 shots to kill someone with shotgun, at that rang you can't do anything with sword other than swing it hopelessly. Sword lung has been reduced to about the instant kill rang of a shotgun. And many times in halo 3 backpedaling while someone with a sword is chasing you is easier than with a shotgun. I don't understand why a person within killing distance of a sword should be neglected there kill but a shotgun and hammer don't. The lung is no different for being in a shotguns instant kill distance.

Yeah I agree, that's why I think the sword block is a good idea.

You need to use the sword with sprint, evade, or invis now. Don't just charge a guy with a shotgun head on.
