I'd not even bother landing in the nightfall (most times) if the game mode had matchmaking. With the heroic strikes already resembling a nightfall in almost every way (with the modifiers having burns, exposure, berserk, etc.), I don't even allow my ship to land if someone's already in there. I've done it before and ended up at the death screen because one or more players perished without my assistance in the matchmaking strike. I'm not about to kill my character off because an unskilled player or two doesn't want to wait for my ship to load in.
