In my opinion, the Last Hope has hidden perks that make it too good. It is currently out performing hand cannons and breaking its intended roll as a sidearm, making hand cannons even weaker than they are as an option. The combination of this guns stability, hip fire accuracy, and built-in Icarus from destiny 1, allows this gun to be spammed without aiming in midair. This means that if your fighting at close range, if you don't use it your at a disadvantage. The MIDA has alternatives, Uriel's has alternatives. What sidearm or hand cannon can even come close to hanging with the Last Hope? The Antiope-D is also extremely powerful. The weapon has the fastest time to kill for any gun ever in destiny 1 or 2. 1.8 seconds to kill. At least this gun's stability must be controlled by the player, making it slightly more balanced. One idea I have is to simply switch the Last Hope into the power ammo slot, because its that powerful. (just kidding). Please offer constructive feedback. I'd love to know your thoughts on a way to balance this weapon without breaking the game and creating a chain of nerfs that hurt the game. Well, everyone is trash at this game so your opinions are exactly on point with your skill level. What I thought. These forums are the best. To be clear, I have antiope and last hope. I have multiple masteries of both. I will wreck you with both. I use antiope daily. I know how good it is cause I USE IT. I am saying its too easy for me to kill, something needs to change as the TTK for these two makes other options just look stupid to use in real games. Oh, also check stats before you call people casuals, kids, etc. Hilarious.

  • I totally disagree. If anything they should be strengthened. PLEASE NERF THE GRAVITON LANCE. It just turns the games into waiting matches. Two groups just sitting at one spot and everyone’s waiting for each otherI’ve literally sat at one spot for a full minute in a game... everyone just hangs back and the entire experience slows down.

  • It doesn't help that the hand cannons are such garbage without Last Hope in the picture. Playing with such a high risk high reward weapon so suicidal on Destiny's equally garbage connectivity. Its 2018, and this is bungie. What kind of sick joke is this game?

  • i dont think antiope needs a nerf at all...antiope is exactly what an smg is supposed to be... last hope, on the other hand, is ridiculous how fast it and kill and how far away you can be...theres not a big counter to it unless youre a really good player using a secondary SMG and have REALLY good movement

  • Wait wait wait... So after begging for nerfs to Uriel's gift, mida multi, mida mini, lens (lens was too strong), better devils, and a few others I can't remember right now people want to go after last hope and Antiope-D? The thing that I find most puzzling is that for last hope you can't even hit with the other 2 shots when ADS (D2 is weird with any gun that fires 3 shot-bursts and isn't a pulse rifle). Honestly, in the crucible your best bet is to grab a gun you feel comfortable with and can aim easily. People were shouting to nerf mida multi and it's a terrible gun already, it's mainly a crutch to view radar and stay ads while camping... However people thought it needed to be nerfed because lots of people use it. Going back to Last Hope, yes they do need to adjust it. It needs to have the burst fire in a line or cluster instead of shot 2 and 3 going straight up.

    • I dont like the range on the antiope or its archetype but besides that i no problems with the weapons as they are last hope is annoying but ive learned how to beat it they either need to nerf to put it in line with the other side arms or buff the other side arms to put in line with last hope

    • Please don’t start asking for a bunch of nerfs bro. When I get melted by the said weapons, I adjust my play style and stay out of their optimum range. We don’t want bungie to start neutering the weapons as they did in D1. Instead they need to add more strong weapons as counters to existing strong weapons. My 2 cents.

      • Last Hope may need some tweaking, however, after using it and learning how it handles, I don't feel it's quite as bad as I thought it was. The gun requires you to be pretty darn close to take full advantage of its archetype. Furthermore, it appears that its RoF may be bugged since it looks like it's firing significantly faster than it should be. That said, play around TLH. If you're trying to play the CQC game where you're practically kissing the enemy player with a Hand Cannon, then I'm sorry, you kind of deserve to lose that fight. You're playing in their domain at that point. The best advice i can give you is be conscious of where your enemy is at, and do your best to stay at a distance. SMG's such as the Phosphorus MG4 can defeat The Last Hope in CQC so long as you remain just outside its effective range. That doesn't mean The Last hope doesn't warrant a look over mind you. Something isn't quite right about it, and I'd like to see other side arms brought up to make them more viable. As for the Antiope-D, the ONLY thing that makes this thing so incredibly potent is kill clip. Without it, it's pretty much the same as a Phosphorus with phase mag. Leave it alone, it's fine as it is. If you're getting shredded by it, remember, that they have to get in your face to use it. Position yourself accordingly, force the enemy players to fight at medium long range if you can help it and run away if you cannot. Work with your team, simply staying by another player raises your chances of winning that fight. Like it or not, the SMG class of weapons typically are "kill one and done" type of weapon, where they must flee to reload most of the time. Tactics my friend and watching recordings of those games while asking yourself "what could i have done differently" will be far better for you than asking for nerfs on these forums. I find 90% of the time, the real problem lays with the person behind the controller.

        • The etana will perform the same as last hope, but I agree that they should rework the full auto and kinetic sidearms so they can be a possible counter to the current meta.

            • to be honest if you are using hand cannons inside of last hopes range you are basically setting yourself up for disadvantage and horror as to the antiope-d, if you hit your shots with a HC you will outshoot the antiope inside the hand cannons optimal range, almost every single useable weapon i d2 will outpreform others inside their optimal ranges, its not the weapons its you people that cant adapt and overcome and have to have a freaking participation medal for everything you do. “The measure of intelligence(SKILL) is the ability to change.” ― Albert Einstein
