You think that bungie would learn from Destiny one and not repeat all the same mistakes.
I mean that's what most people in human nature do is try not to repeat the same mistakes over and over again but Bungie and the development team for Destiny 2 not only repeated all the same mistakes from Destiny one but made a shitload more new mistakes!
It never ceases to amaze me how horribly bad bungee can fail at improving anything

Edited by Iccotak: 10/16/2017 10:38:18 AMWhen Destiny was first being shown off we were promised a Large Shared World Shooter RPG. That was "Ancient Fantasy" + "Hard Science Fiction". We got a standard FPS with some looting, and near zero word building. Great video here of a player explaining their problem. Basically there is near zero story context and world building in the game and almost none of the lore is in the game still. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gH1ew9j8ww&t=226s I just do not understand how people can defend an unfinished product. Especially after what happened in Destiny 1. We expect the whole game. We do not want to have to wait for things that should have been in the game when we got it, only to have them called "DLC". Think of a game like a Burger. -The Burger (base game) should have; the meat patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, ketchup & mustard. -The fries and soda (DLC/Expansion) should add to the experience. We should not have to pay more money to make the game whole when it should have been at launch. F2P games like Warframe can do that because they are F2P and still a work-in-progress. a $60 game should not act like a F2P game.

Awesome perspective on the Destiny 2 aka the flop. Ive actually completely stopped playing it already! At least in D1 i played it for almost a year. D2 kept me playing for about 2 months. PATHETIC!
-
just wait for when it hits PC. They are not going to be forgiving on Metacritic
-
I can't believe after the epic failure that Destiny 2 is, this game is still up and running, that there are still enough people willingly taking it up the butt. Personally I stopped playing Destiny 2 once I hit light level 305 there was absolutely nothing to do. I'm playing Diablo 3 again and having more fun playing this game than I ever have playing Destiny 2
-
Bungie should take more notes on how Diablo 3 salvaged itself and made a good game
-
Warframes updates is DE working to make a complete game. They openly acknowledge that Warframe is an incomplete product and they work hard to add depth and content to flesh it out. In Destiny, that kind of content and depth should be in the game at launch. DLCs for a $60 AAA game should not be "fixing" or "filling in holes". DLCs should simply add to the experience

Edited by Pandadox: 10/16/2017 3:17:03 AMD2 isn’t a disgustingly horrible game, it’s just not as much improved from D1 as many people were hoping. If you want disgustingly horrible, go find a copy of E.T. to play lol. I’m basically just saying that people shouldn’t discount D2 as a horrible game just because it isn’t completely and utterly different from D1.

Edited by Guardian1484: 10/16/2017 3:50:15 AMIt's not that Bungie didn't learn. It's that they tried something new. But they didn't incorporate what made Destiny one good in the end with what they wanted to do with Destiny 2. And now they know they messed up and they're trying to fix it but they're not doing it fast enough. Or they just don't care. The token system needs to go. The Crucible setup needs to go. The Nightfall setup needs to go. Guided games needs to go. The new way that shaders are used needs to go. I like the fact that you can use materials to level up with banshee. I like the fact that you can use shaders on your Sparrow, your ship, your ghost and your weapons. But I don't like that you have to use them on each piece of armor instead of the old way.
-
The token system isn’t a bad idea, though it could be better. It’s almost a different way of doing random engram drops like what was in D1, except it’s all legendaries rather than rares and legendaries. But, again, it could be done in a better fashion.

Edited by kindaSketch: 10/16/2017 2:30:29 PMCome on dude. With everything that's broken you bring up shaders? I like this shader system better anyway. You can mix n match them if you don't like the way one looks on your character. I like the way some look on the armor but they look like ass on the cloak or vise versa. Set shaders don't allow for that. There was alot of shaders that I didn't use in d1 bc I didn't like the way they looked as a whole. They just need to be permanent so once you find one it's there.
-
Yeah I like giving materials to banshee for sure miss his uniques he offered. Still had some of those they were fantastic.
-
well each piece is fine, its that they are consumable
-
But millions of people still bought D2. Who’s the real dopes here?
-
We bought it with hopes that it was better than D1 and that they had learned from thier mistakes but the harsh reality was very different
-
I hoped that too. But you know what I did? I’ll give you a hint, I didn’t fork out £50+ on “hope” 👍🏼
-
No we were "told and shown" the changes they were making and everything was led to believe it was for the better and the game just doesn't have enough depth. Far shallower than D1, and it's sad so many love the franchise and have been feeling hurt or mislead by this iteration. Hope they realize it make any changes they can.
-
Yes ill admit I fell victim to the hype and now im paying for it lol I play destiny 2 30% for enjoyment and 70% trying to justify paying that much for this game
-
-
30% really? I’d have thought it’d have been considerably less 😂 lol
-
I was being generous lol The game is well designed aesthetically Just poorly executed. Which has become the norm for the Destiny franchise
-
Your reckless, settle down. There is also an I in Bungie.
-
Lol dam talk to text. Thanks for the spell check

Ya it happens to all of us, predictive text is another one.
