Guided games is total BS!!!!! I waited 1hr 30minutes to get a game and it lasted 10 mins before everyone quit!

I am trying to do the raid for my first time because I don't have people to do it with and I used guided games because I though I could finally be able to play the raid. But NO! I waited an hr and a half and when I finally! Got a game the people didn't speak English and wouldn't even try to communicate with me ! Than when the game started they just ran around like headless chickens! Doing random things and laughing about it! From some clan called the lone wolf , bunch of A holes!!! And now I would have to wait another 40 minutes to find another game! But how do I know the same thing won't happen again!!! UP YOURS BUNGIE!! Destiny 2 is not multiplayer friend! Because there are too many A holes and you guys do nothin about it thank again! For making a great game that no good people can actually enjoy because of all the bs

  • #1. Guided games is not about getting you fast teams. It's meant to have lofty times to ensure you get people who will at least teach you something about the activity. #2. Those listed times are approximate for a reason. You could be waiting a really long time for the one team in Australia to get on. #3. The easier solution? Destinylfg.com or messaging a few clan members. #4. Finding a sherpa online to get you through the raid. I literally just taught an entire team how to fun gauntlet even though they had 5 completions under their belt via stats lookup. They had literally never done the gauntlet challenge before. Lastly... you will find the best results don't come from the one who whines about things. You made a vent post, but all it actually clarifies is your dislike for the guided games option. So Bungie should force you to go into the raid with a lesser raid team now, but faster? So you can fail the raid with that team? Pick your words a lot more carefully. They can and will carry consequences for yourself later on.

    • My clan has done several guided games and helped some first timers get through the raid. I believe it was a good experience for them as they have sent friend requests after and some have joined our clan. I do not believe this is the normal experience for most who attempt a guided game as a seeker. I have tried it three times as a seeker just to see what it would be like. Average wait time for a seeker is 45 minutes. The three times I tried it I got in a fireteam that was three clan mates and three seekers. I did not finish the raid any of the three times attempted. The experience for me ranged from not great to very bad. Basically I could have done LFG and saved myself about 40 minutes of wait time. I actually have better success with LFG. Bungie needs to require a minimum of four clan mates before you can guide and then have some legitimate incentive for success and legitimate consequences if your clan is not capable of guiding. Something along the lines of adding a way for seekers to report if your clan is not capable of guiding and if you get reported three times you would be banned for while.

    • Guided games has no tangible Eritrea to carrying new players. If they got an exotic engram for helping you it would be less of an issue finding motivated teams.

And all they had to do was add normal matchmaking and let solo player queue with solo players. At least then you wouldn't have to wait an hour and a half for a bad match. Plus not all people playing solo are inexperienced. Matches would sync way faster and this wouldn't be an issue. But they had to mess it up with some unwanted system. You know what's funny, is the people who host the guided game don't even have to be experienced! It can be a team full of people who have no idea what they're doing! Bungie messed it up big time. And it could've been so easy.

        • They could fix this so easily. Just make an emote that's a guardian holding like a cardboard box sign "Raid?" or "Nightfall?" Or "Trials?" The message it could display would say "player xyz wants to raid/nightfall/trials/banner" This would allow people to meet in social spaces and add yet another functionality to the Tower. People would be able to see loadouts and weapons and stats right there and communicate about who does or doesn't have a mic and whatever else before they even have to leave the tower. Lots of people do this anyway, it's just harder to message everyone vs walking around and just using an emote

        • Bungo didn’t include any kind of strong incentive for clans to do this. It’s a lot of work to run it yourselves on 3 characters, then come back for more.....but there is nothing more than clan rep. You can earn that running public events and cap out in no time flat. Clans need guaranteed rewards for this and not gambling tokens.

Did you try forming a group on an lfg site? It's not hard and you can ensure that you have 5 other people with mics who speak the same language as you and are appropriately leveled.(which is 280+ by the way) it also allows you to replace someone if anyone gives up or has to leave. It allows you to have a checkpoint to pick up where you left off possibly with the same group at another time if you agree on it.(Not so with guided games and would be the same with matchmaking) It's a much better system and I honestly can't understand why anyone would want to endure a match made raid team that's 99.9% of the time going to be doomed to fail.

          • Been saying this since they announced how guided games would work. The math doesnt add up. Theres more who want help than who want to be helped and its going to result in extremely long que times and its going to result in A LOT of players left out in the cold. Stop trying to be clever and embrace real solutions to real issues bungie. Separate competitive pvp from the rest of the game and give is optional matchmaking for everything.

              • Maybe try LFG, it's a lot more efficient. There are more people looking for raids than there are clans looking to get random in their group in guided games. The in game system for lfg is pretty shitty. Also don't expect to use guided games to get carried, there are clans who still haven't done the Raid themselves either jackass.

              • The solution is very simple, I’m giving FFXIV as an example. They have recently added party finder into the game on top of the fact that the game has an optional matchmaking for the end game activities. It is amazing and this is how it works. You go to the game menu and there is a section called party then you click party finder. You see a selection of party list currently looking for other players. If you cannot find the activity you are looking for you create your very own party finder. The party finder gives you the option to select the activity you want to find players for and then gives you the option to limit who can join and who cannot join. Also, gives you description box to add optional comments. For example I want to run the raid which is divided into 4 floors. I pick the floor I want, I select the roles even the jobs that I think gives good synergy and I add a description “like I’m looking to have some fun and clear the floor for the weekly loot”. I choose the option “completed activity” so only those who have cleared the fight before are able to join. The damn thing fills up in less than 5 minutes. On top of that I can choose the minimum light level of people joining in too. Here is another example, I am new to a fight so I open up party finder (WITHIN THE GAME) select the activity and choose the “sprout/newbie” icon and will write in the description “I am totally new to the fight and want to practice it, veteran help is welcome”. The damn thing fills up in less than 5 minutes. Here is another example (assuming I’m the elitist and looking for the elitist), select the activity that I want, choose a moderately high level like 300+, choose “completed activity” and in the description I write; “Looking to do speed kills, only experienced farmers, no bonus”. The damn thing fills up in less than 10 minutes. Keep in mind while my party finder is shows up on the party finder search for everyone else I can go into the world and do 80% of the activities that does not require a matchmaking. Also, if I don’t want to bother with party finder I can simply go into matchmaking that has less but similar options and I still get matched up. FFXIV has many copies of the same world and has divided the player base based on their region to minimise the lag Bungie has access to the entire player base without the world restriction so the party finder will be even quicker than FFXIV. I have been in every single one of those situations and I have managed to find like minded players with the same goal in a very short amount of time. I believe Bungie can address the end game content in a similar manner very efficiently.

Yeah we've tried it for the raid, and ended up with people who don't speak English either as guides not seekers. I knew this was going to be a fail from the start.
