What happened to the legions we encountered in destiny one, what was even their mission? Did callus send them or the government before them? They have been decimated, sand eaters loosing up to 60% of their forces, were they assimilated into the red legion? Or did they go home? Maybe if callus did send them then they joined him on the leviathan.

I'd like to know more about the Ice Reapers. (Ice Reavers?) For those that don't know, this is the legion that the Psion Flayers belonged to. To my knowledge, this is the only instance where they are ever mentioned.

2 RepliesEdited by foxburton99: 10/16/2017 1:48:09 PMWe don’t know if the scouting legion of D1 was sent by Calus or by Ghual pretending he was relaying Calus’s orders, but their purpose was to investigate our system for resources and other life. They found valuable Vex and Hive assets as well as the great prize of the Traveler, so got into serious war and recon work in our system. By the arrival of the Red Legion most of the scouting legion was dead and all of their leadership broken, but we know from some gear texts that they are still around. One text translated by Asher shows that they found out that Ghual overthrew Calus and they decided to fight against the Red Legion. A couple others show that some of the troops decided not to fight against authority So there’s a good chance there’s a rebellion going on on Mars right now, at least assuming that they were smart enough not to go straight on against the Red Legion and those of their legion who sided with Ghual. Currently, the Red Legion controls the Exclusion Zone and is having a much easier time holding and expanding their borders against the Vex than the previous forces. The remaining scout legion soldiers appear to be in on Mars with the Red Legion still

4 RepliesThe sky burners, the main one you fight in D1 have retreated from earth and now reside on mars

The Lore tab for Dunemarchers says that the scout legions were deployed by Emperor Calus, and resisted Dominus Ghaul after the Midnight Coup. If any of them survived the Red Legion's assault on Mars, then they would definitely have joined Calus's Loyalists.

Edited by Piggyback: 10/15/2017 7:51:52 PMThey all went 'Not my Emperor' when Ghaul staged his coup, and are currently in a civil war with the Red Legion.

They were probably given permission to leave. They were just scouting legions, now the Red Legion is taking over due to all the conflict and us.

2 RepliesThe cabal blow up stars. To my knowledge, humans never even left the solar system. How can we even compete with a species that has populated the galaxy?

3 RepliesEdited by Mista Fidget: 10/14/2017 12:44:50 PMSkyburner's Oath lore page speaks hatefully about Calus and Ghaul. The Skyburners tried to fight against the Red Legion. Maybe they received their mission centuries ago when the senate was in charge, and they think of both the Emperor and the Dominus as false rulers.

I'd like to think that the survivors were added to Ghaul's forces. But first they had to undergo the decimation. This would make sense since Cabal society closely resembles that of the Romans.

21 RepliesNo, Calus didn't send them. The Scout Fleet was sent to investigate the system. The Skyburners sect was meant to absolutely murder us, but Oryx happened. The remaining soldiers should've joined the Red Legion.

They werent a legion, just a scouting party
