  • Siva is unbelievably dangerous. It infected and controlled the iron lords that died in vault 6. You kill them at the end of the campaign. Its a self aware hive mind that absorbs and reprograms organic matter to serve its function. Siva was experimentally developed by that company that was running Venus before the darkness arrived, I believe it was originally intended to be a terraformer, reconstructing worlds to be more habitable, it was supposed to be interwoven into all forms of technology but its creators became terrified of it and had to quarantine it before the iron lords released it again. If my memory is correct its much more akin to a nano plague or Unity from Rick and Morty.

    • No Siva is starting to become selfaware. It even hint at in d1 lore that it may have not been the fallen controlling Siva. But Siva very suddly controlling the fallen. The raid boss belives the chooses that he made might have been made by something else. The age of triumph raid wepons hint that Siva is start to act on it own.

      • I’m surprised there’s no mention of Guardians using SIVA during the Red War. Without the light, that seems like the next best option for destruction, right? Resurrection, enhancement of weapons, modification of most technology, healing, and other life sustaining properties can be granted from it. Even if a Guardian didn’t use it on himself, he could program it as a virus and use it on Cabal defenses, or modify explosive weapons.

      • No, but why would we wear WoTm armor even though Siva is obviously in it. Its the same with the weapons.

        • Considering siva was going to be used fine during the golden age, yes Don't need light to do it

        • Here is another thing you need to know about me. I would fuse my exo code stream with siva, allow the taken to take me, meditate with the psions and let them telepathy enter my mind (if they can do that stuff) jump in a vex time portal, sein in vex milk and take a singing class with the death singers FOR SCIENCE!!! So if there is any small change of controlling siva I will. I’d also make an alliance with the fallen So yay I probably will end up dead in a ditch without a ghost.

          • I'd want to see a war between a guardian who harnesses SIVA versus Osiris and whatever the heck he's found in the vex network.

              • The word you are looking for is program and the answer is yes. The iron Ghorn is made with siva. Well made with. There would be no light needed to use siva, as it's just tech

              • SIVA is just a computer-program baked into a form of matter. We would not be able to 'drive' it and give it directions purely by magic light-based will. We could however control it if we had access to whatever systems are used to give it commands.

                • Clearly, otherwise all of those who beat Aksis would be half-SIVA monstrosities... even worse when the light left.

                • I doubt it. The purpose of the Iron Lords was to find, take and control SIVA again but not by using the Light. Also, there is a Ghost Fragment in which 2 Ghosts met on Mars and while they're talking a third Ghost infected with SIVA reached them. The third Ghost said that something in the Cosmodrome "infected him" (or something similar) but the Light burned it and now it was fine. Actually, it was not since the SIVA made him a little bit crazy and malfunctional. I doubt we could control SIVA by using the Light.

                • If we can't get our ghost to ever hurry the -blam!- up, I don't have much hope for controlling SIVA

                    • No, dear. Siva is nanotechnology, not something that reacts or has anything to do with light. It follows simple programs given to it. It will never be a subclass.
