RNG Loot:
Should be granted upon completion of an activity, such as a crucible match, strike, raid, or mission. In the event the activity is something with an entire set of exclusive loot, like the raid, trials, or the iron banner, items NOT exclusive to that activity will be entirely absent from the loot pool.
Reputation:
Should be granted upon completion of an activity. Upon filling the bar, you get an engram of RNG loot, same as Destiny 1. Furthermore, you can choose whether you would like a weapon package or an armor package, also same as Destiny 1.
Tokens:
Should be collected upon completion of the activity in question. The player should be able to use them to buy items from the appropriate vendors, so as to obtain specific items that RNG refuses to bless them with. The price for each individual item will be drastically increased, but it will be a guaranteed method of obtaining the piece of gear you want.
Furthermore, players can exchange tokens for faction rep if they so choose, so as to get rid of tokens clogging up the inventory.
Power Level:
If the player is at max power, all drops that CAN be max power, SHOULD be max power. This whole "waiting for the vendor to start dropping 300's" thing shouldn't even be here.
