When I saw Reach's graphics, I was amazed. I literally thought it could not possibly be better.
These are amazing graphics right here.
But then... then I saw the graphics whilst the new "juicy" effect was in place.
Holy. Crap.
Does anyone else find the "juicy" graphics even better than the "untoppable" regular Reach graphics? I've always loved Halo over all other FPS's. The reasons are almost infinite as to why. However, one aspect I like to really flesh out is COLOR. Most games don't even know what colors are besides brown and blue shades (you know what games I'm talking about).
The color in "juicy".. just totally sets the bar even higher, IMO. What do you think?
Edit: Here's a comparison thanks to "Ice Pinata" Forge World FX comparison

Juicy should be called Halo CE Filter, because that screen looks exactly like Timberland.
-
Looks cartoony, like Halo 3.
-
It looks great but I don't think I'll use it that much. It hurts the eyes after a while.
-
It's really saturated :D
-
Looks like someone left the sprinklers on lol. On another note...Purple looks sick, in a good way.
Posted by: Ice Pinata I took the liberty of making a side by side comparison of the two screenshots. Gotta' love the saturated colors. I have an effect on my TV that adds saturation and contrast to the screen at all times. So the juicy filter is overkill for me.
Posted by: Kazooie5659 I like it Juicy. *That's what she said.*
agreed
Posted by: BlitzBladeX It's much too saturated and looks unnatural to me. I much prefer Orange and Next Gen.
you took the words right out of my mouth

Now that I've looked at the two pictures multiple times, the normal Reach graphics look dull and boring. With the Juicy FX on, it kinda brings me back to the Halo Combat Evolved style, with bright colors and high contrast.
-
Posted by: Zomechin I don't get why everyone is diggin' the "next gen" filter. To me, it looks like they just replaced color with grey.
It makes it look cloudy.

I don't want reach to look like Fable 2
-
that is alot of shiney colors...
-
I really like next gen, I'm going to be making quite a few maps with that.
-
Juicy = Instant Halo 2 remakes.
-
It makes the game seem like Fable 2.
-
I like it. It's refreshing to shoot at people in a bright, cheery landscape.
-
I think so, I was looking at the effect and I was like. God please let there be a nightime effect too. But it really looked like it was a nice day in forge world with that juicy fect on.
Posted by: T9X KR3W Is there a reverse juicy, that makes it ridiculously gritty?
Well there's colorblind. Doesn't make it look gritty, but since juicy is essential "upping" the colors, I'd like to think of colorblind as reverse-juicy.

I agree OP. Juicy makes Reach look 100 times better.
-
Juicy makes things a little too colorful for my taste.
