I have been experiencing some issues on Destiny 2 (digital copy) on ps4 since the past week, every time I start destiny 2 and it gives me the option "press x to start" and I press x it gives me this error "Cannot continue using the application. The data for the following application is corrupted. Delete the application from the PS4 and then download it again from [Library] on the home screen." I have tried everything I deleted and installed it again about 7 times I rebuilt the database I restored licenses and I even Innitialized my ps4 which deleted all my files and games and installed a new software and even that did not work.
When I go to error history on the ps4 it says ive been getting this error whenever It happens "CE-30005-8" i dont know what else to do every other game works fine except for destiny 2. It was working fine the night before the error happened so it happened overnight when the ps4 was off. I contacted PlayStation support and they told me they are investigating the error however they needed some proof that I contacted you so I could find out if its a problem on Bungie's end.... 3 RepliesThis isn't a game issue. The Error code explains that it is having trouble reading the hard disk drive For some reason, Sony's fix is having you eject the disk. But the HDD isn't a disk, it is the memory itself. It holds the OS and the Game data and all other files. I would check your hard disk drive and try to run a diagnostic on it. It could be that it's corrupting that data because your HDD is faulty and possibly corrupted. I don't know how much of this you already knew, but I hope it was helpful.
