Well what the hell was the point of that getting to level 10' only to be give a bloody emblem seriously bungie ?
I know what' when a guardian reaches level 10 as a reward why not let him/her choose the fu***ng item that you wont drop' sounds fair to me considering ive just sat here for 15 hours and got everything else i dont want. Nobody wants crap version of a Nightshade ill just stick with the nightshade that i already got
All i want is the Hunter Cloak any chance NOPE sorry.
I dont mind the grind in fact i normaly enjoy it but only when there is a point at the end of it.

Got the pulse at 10

5 RepliesI'd have thought an iron banner aura would be a far better reward. You can have that one for free Bungie

Here’s some 🧀 for your 🍷.

19 RepliesEdited by Spaceman: 10/11/2017 9:59:01 PMI find it funny that Bungie can check all our items to figure out our max light, but they can't check all our items to figure out what we already got and give us a drop that we fricken need!

7 RepliesRight! 5 out of 10 levels Dropped the sidearm for me. Also I was expecting a powerful gear drop after completing the WEEKLY MILESTONE OF GETTING TO RANK 10!!

2 RepliesMake Iron Banner Great Again

Agree the level ten reward was a joke. Also why cannot the engram drop level be at least two levels above your current drop rate? IB now just a grind with little reward, at least in the old IB you knew that you could level up your characters over the week by getting a few drops which would be above your starting level

1 ReplyAs I was grinding away at IB trying to get the armor that wasn't dropping for me I started to think that maybe that final reward is the armor set. That explained why I haven't won any, so I kept at. I stopped playing IB once I found out what the final reward is. An emblem is NOT a fitting reward for enduring that much crucible. I never got a single armor piece and I dismantled/fed every weapon I got from it. Bungie, you guys had awesome IBs in D1 with exciting weapons, armor, and shaders. But now IB's rewards in D2 are, reskined weapons? Non-existent armor drops? One shader? And an emblem as the milestone final reward? What the hell, Bungie?
-
2 RepliesI got to 10 today. Got emblem and boots that I already have at low light. Biggest waste of time IB has become. At least in D1 you could buy a gun or armor if nothing ever good dropped at finish.
-
Ah don't worry, at some point the live team will take over and make Tuesdiny great again. Might take a year though.

This is incredibly disappointing. This "Season 1" Milestone couldn't be more underwhelming. It's an emblem. It's one of the things we see / use / care about the least. Not only that, it appears to be a complete Copy/Paste of the old Iron Banner Emblem from D1 with just different (albeit better) color scheme. Iron Banner used to be different in two major ways: 1) Light Level used to matter. It wasn't a huge difference, but it was enough to be noticable. This helped Iron Banner feel different from a standard Crucible playlist. As it stands right now, there is no difference in Iron Banner and a Quick Play Control game. 2) Ghosts and Artifacts used to factor in to your Light Level and Iron Banner was one of the sure fire ways to get a high level Ghost and Artifact. Not saying we need to bring back those Light Level Ghosts and Artifacts, but rather stating that Iron Banner gear used to be a valuable way to increase your character's Light Level. I'm here only because I'm frustrated. Bungie, you took a mode that didn't need to be dumbed down and you made it feel unexciting. Iron Banner used to be about getting interesting looking gear to help your character increase in Light Level. Now it's about getting interesting looking gear and weapons at a lower level than my character already is. And these items behave exactly the same as other gear and weapons we already have. Iron Banner used to be about having to use your best Light Level items because Light Level mattered. Now any 200 with blue gear and an Origin Story can be a hero! I used to look forward to Iron Banner because it was a different challenge and it brought a treasure trove of new, better, and interesting gear. Now, it's the same Crucible games we already have, with mediocre gear, and a lazily designed emblem as our ultimate reward. I love this game and D1, but I felt that this was powerfully underwhelming.

They cant let you pick what you want for the same reason none of the other "vendors" have an inventory anymore. No random weapon perks. There is so little variety now that thay had to impliment this token/engram gambling system to artificially extend gameplay.
-
2 RepliesI'll repost what I did elsewhere: The daily challenges are 2 tokens a piece, that's 6. When you complete it, Saladin gives another 15. And let's say it took 1-2 matches. That's 25-31. In under 20 min. Do this w each character and within 3-6 matches you can net 75-93 tokens in under an hour. That's a good chunk of tokens. Jump in each day, kick around in a couple of matches, cash tokens in on your main. If you get all the pieces you're looking for, start cashing tokens in on your Alts. I hope this helps. That's a bare minimum of 375 tokens (453 if winning those matches) over the IB week w/ out grinding at all.

4 RepliesI was a little disappointed. After a long road to ten packages — all I got was a banner and a weapon that has duplicated drops. Would’ve been nice to get an armor piece.

Sorry man. I know them feels. I am over halfway to level 10 and if I equip all my IB armor I will look like a robot knight with samurai pants. I guess I need to make 3 hunters to get full gear sets for events but then I wont get the powerful milestone rewards because bungie intentionally nerfed weekly rewards for same classes to force people into making seperate character classes. I guess its a lose/lose but thats how it goes when you play Destiny2...
-
I came here trying to read this as comedy. It just made me sad. Iron Banner was one of my favorite things about Destiny 1. I looked forward to it every month. Even when it was modes I hated (such as Mayhem, or Supremacy) I'd play the entire thing on all three characters. Now, I can barely must the will to play at all. There's no point. The gear looks good, but is that all we're playing for anymore? To look cool? I could care less about looking cool. I want to be powerful. That's why I played Destiny 1. That's why I did the grind. Take that away, and you're left with a second rate COD clone. Desitny 2: Become Common

4 RepliesI try not to look things up. For me a video game is more for the adventure of figuring things out on my own. With that said, I have to ask the following... As you get closer to 10 packages, do the drops get closer to (or above) you power level? I opened one package last night. The Guiding Sight at 294. I wouldn't mind having the armor. Wouldn't mind getting the available weapons. Without a guaranteed drop though... Not worth the frustration of raising the other teams k/d (never said I was good at PvP :) ). Honestly I liked the way IB was set up in D1 MUCH better. It looks as if this IB is nothing more than normal Crucible with a guarantee of Control (which I actually do enjoy) with an emblem for opening 10 packages. With that being the case... I'll simply use it to complete the Call to Arms (did get a couple nice pieces from that one) on my other two characters and then leave Crucible again until the next IB comes around. If serious changes aren't made in that one, I may not even bother with it at all.

6 RepliesEdited by Neoclue: 10/12/2017 7:59:33 PMHa, it took you 15 hours to grind out 10 packages. That could easily be cut down by not losing

20 RepliesEdited by Lee Ames: 10/12/2017 7:56:03 AMOnce reaching level 10, we should be able to buy IB weapons and armour from Lord Sardine, but nooooooooooooooo.... After getting - 3 helmets 1 chest piece 1 titan mark 3 hand cannons 3 grenade launchers and 1 pulse rifle I can't kit myself out with the full set of samurai armour? The armour looks great as a set, but not so great when mixed with other armour. I personally don't want to be half a samurai warrior, it's all or nothing, meaning I've wasted my time, yet again.
-
2 RepliesTried to give Bunghole another chance here, got the first package, 2 shaders, 2 non IB trash legendaries and an IB chest piece (Titan) that looks like ass. What the -blam!- is up with stupid fur collars Bunghole? Why are all the Titans wearing armor that looks like you ripped it from For Honor. This is a game that takes place in space in the future not the 15th century. Luckily that saved me from wanting package #2. I'll check out Xur Fri and then do the milestones Tues. Thats all this game is good for now and even that is getting tiresome.
-
Honestly? I don't know. The only thing I want out of this garbage is the cloak and the helmet for the hunter. The rest can die in a fire for all I care.... So for me, it would be my preference that every package contained a piece of armor and a weapon..... Mostly because the weapons are all reskinned garbage that nobody wants (there's like two decent rolls among them, maybe 3...) the armor is what they know people want, and it has a very low drop rate. But then, alternately............ Then people would just stop playing as soon as they hit 10 cause they have everything they want... The amount of reskinned weapons in this game is really kinda getting pathetic...
-
I wouldn't bother anyways, the hunter cloak is a reskin of " A Cloak Called Home" which was also used for a reskin in New Monarchy and now.. IB... Lazy..
-
3 RepliesDay one players with D1, who supported the game for 3 f**king years, buying every DLC, got emblems as well. That is Bungie's way of saying, thank you sucker!
-
4 Repliesglad I wasn't the only one pissed about that, welp time to grab the pitchforks and assume the angry mob formation.

2 Repliescalm down bungie is just experimenting to see what works best

Thanks guys I'm at level , won't be finishing cause as you said the loot ain't worth the grind
