I was excited to play Dawnblade but it’s seriously such an underwhelming subclass compared to Voidwalker and Stormcaller.
In air accuracy having been nerfed makes it so that attunement of sky only pays off with in air power weapon kills. It’s the only sure way to recharge abilities.
Hitting enemies with your super compared to Sunbreaker is laughable. Even with seeking you have to account for the arc and sometimes my sword strikes just don’t even kill trash. I needed to hit that guy for a flame streak.
I decided to try hitting enemies up close with the flames attunement thinking, okay this will be like using a sword, right? Let’s do it. Watched a sword flame strike fly past a dreg right in front of my face.
I thought okay, let’s go back to sky again. Fine, I’ll only get energy from power and grenade kills mid air. Fine. At least I get a grenade back so I can use that in the super and drop an orb for sure. Kills while in the super using a grenade you got back for casting the super do not grant an orb, which, while it makes sense, makes me wonder why a sentinel can throw a shield and get an orb, and get more shields back with an exotic, while I can’t, and I can’t melee strike enemies in my super with my goddam flaming sword in my hands.
Thanks for the attempt to rework the subclass, but despite the alienation Sunsinger could create and therefore be underused in all activities, I’d much rather have my grenades back instead of this subclass with a trash, trash super. I’ll play any other subclass for any other super over this.
Bottom line: Stormcaller and Voidwalker are well built and satisfying to play and destroy trash when you need it. Dawnblade doesn’t do that.

Dawnblade is not a rework it's a brand new subclass, it plays good even you get used to it. First time I played it I treated it like Sunbreaker so I kept getting kills easy in pve & pvp.

But it looks so cool ☺️

2 RepliesDevour Voidwalker is outrageously OP. Without question the best subclass in the game. Warlocks really can't complain.

if used properly you have infinite rifts

7 RepliesDawnblade is a heaping pile of s**t. The Warlocks got screwed so bad. They lost out on arguably their best subclass. All Bungie needed to do was get rid of the self-rez perk. Simple as that.

Edited by Sneaks: 10/12/2017 6:19:13 PMAgreeable but you have to also realize that the Dawnblade subclass has its own good sides on it. With the attunement of sky skill tree you can most definitely get a jump on someone or come from the air surprising them. In my opinion the subclass is better than Stormcaller in certain situation. Don't get me wrong the arc soul is amazing in clearing raids and strikes, but Dawnblade does better in public events where a group of enemies group together allowing the splash damage to hit them, and as i said earlier the Dawnblade is good in pvp if you catch the enemy by surprise. But the sad thing is that the nades aren't the best and could be better. But overall i think the subclass is well balanced and has its pros and cons.

1 ReplyAgreed, but they had to take it and the bubble shield away to balance the classes. You have to kill unique abilities to be able to balance things. I think it is a horrible trade off, but what can you do.

3 RepliesBut still better then hunter supers so let's buff hunters first

5 RepliesIn air accuracy was only ever nerfed on shotguns in destiny 1. The only guns that was good in air in the first game was handcannons. Maybe side arms. I never used them. Use hand cannons, side arms, and smg's. all are good in air. I would say you're correct in that both other classes are better. But I can't agree that sunsinger was better.

Nah, dawnblade is a good subclass. It's the only subclass with an instant heal without a cooldown.

You are missing fairy wing armor. Power level and fashion sense go through the roof!!!
