Bungie gives players a free map that is reminiscent of D1 and everyone gets mad.
They could have been like any other game and dropped it as a DLC, making you pay extra for it.
Why is it that Bungie can never do anything nice without some crybabies crying "yeah but what about muh PVE?" "I'm never playing this game again!!1!" And "it was nice but you could have ______"

Ok so this game was content in destiny 1 that was made into a new game so yeah it is technically a do a really expensive one that also removed all my old raids and the rest of the maps so yeah I'm a little bit ticked off at bungie and even more Activision.

I'm not really up to date with what people want, but I think the problem is that people didn't ask for it. Take CoD as an example when they bring maps back to games, people requested those maps and got them. I think that's the real trigger - I don't mind though
-
It's not free. It's part of the launch purchase price/content, and has just been held back until now. Like the raid inspired PvP map. Such idiocy. Get your head out of Bungo's arse.

Bungie uses an old Halo map in a new installment and nobody bats an eye. They use an old map from Destiny and put it in Destiny 2 and everyone loses their minds. Where was the hate when Halo: CE's Blood Gulch was included in Halo 2 as Coagulation? It wasn't even reskinned. All they did was change the bases up a bit. Now everyone suddenly hates that Bungie gave them an old map that they reskinned? Before anyone says "this isn't Halo, durr", that doesn't matter. Same developer, same context.
-
Hey is this halo? No it's not. Those maps were loved by the community that so loved and supported bungie and got them here today and now they are taking us all for a ride. I haven't seen anyone requesting these maps back. People have been asking for more content and less vanilla.
-
Looking how people are mad with this game and Bungie way of deal with the problems, I really doubt people would pay extra for crucible map right now, with this crucible.
-
To me it's not about the reskin or reused map. But it could have been in there since release and not drip fed to us. We get little pieces of our broken up game one week at a time. That's what they were talking about when they said constant flow of content.
-
Yeah, seriously. Plenty of games do this also. For example, Call of Duty has been using Nuketown for how many games now, all with some minor change, and everyone ate that shit up and preordered it and bought it, and when it comes to Destiny everyone thinks that they must be the laziest -blam!-s ever
-
Who's defending cod? If you were stupid enough to not have the patience to wait for nuketown to be given to you for free then that's your own fault.
-
Well since call of duty and Destiny are both in Activision hands then I'd say get mad at both games for being lazy and not coming up with original content
-
Please don't compare Activision crap to treyarch. Never in a million years can they ever be on their level. Another titles Activision ruined. There were already too many cods out and they completely flooded the industry and people grew numb of all titles. 3 in a year? Exo suits? Exo zombies?

The different is it came with the base game right off the bat, not oh by the way where rolling out a new map for you on start of this like bungie. That is a huge difference.
-
No it came with pre order

Edited by joker198129: 10/12/2017 1:27:09 AMNo shit still base game and anyways all store had shit load of extra copy's so yes you could buy the pre order copy to if you wanted the map.

It is just a massive bandwagon. One person starts and the mob follows. Don't get me wrong though, the reskinned weapons is a bit lazy. They should have at least made an effort at giving them that special look. But the map is fine by me. I played it a couple times and it was rather enjoyable.

Everything about this game is reskind

Yes, yes, and yes. I've never understood people who complain about fun maps being re used
