I don't know what is happening, but I really haven't heard much about this issue. Sometimes this can be followed up by an error code and kicked, but often I am not and insted consistently receive "Attention: Trying to Reconnect". Ironically the worst part is, this happens in all but opportune moments (All throughout the raid, Nightfalls towards the end, End of Trials matches, etc.) I can understand if this is an issue on my Internet or ISP, but I have contacted them informing them of this issue and they said it should not be occurring.
I made a post similar to this a few weeks ago when I rocketed the final boss of the Pyramidion prestige nightfall to kill the boss and then as I released the trigger I was hit with the trying to reconnect, resulting in no rewards after completely carrying my crew with me the entire way.
Now I am fed up, I was just at the very end of the prestige nightfall going through the drill area because my crew couldn't do it without dying, and I received the "Attention Trying to Reconnect" warning abruptly. Usually it will at least say the "Attention Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" warning a couple times first, but this time as we approached the boss it reconnected me and spawned me nearly at the beginning of the nightfall. I traveled there again while my friends were taking out enemies and as I got near once more, I was hit with a "weasel."
Upon investigation I wanted to report my detailed network statistics as well for my Xbox One:
81.38 mbps download
31.64 mbps upload
4% packet loss
24ms latency
Now I know those aren't perfect, but if I can face people that play trials matches from tethered phone WiFi, I feel like I am always being shafted by this and I am on a wired connection? So I have to ask, what is going on. Please at least acknowledge my woes Bungie, because this is insane. This is not on my ISP, this is on you and at least a common courtesy apology and understanding to further investigate would at least be appreciated.
Thank you for your time

1 ReplyI still have this issue to this date. This honestly drove me away from destiny. I loved the first destiny and grinded for hours for loot. But more than once I was dropped when my friend and I were running the nightfall whiched caused both to fail. I have contacted my internet provider and they reported that I should have no issue. I am able to running COD, BF5 and fortnite with no issues but destiny 2 is the bane of my internet apparantly

Same experience man. Started for me at the hot fix that brought faction rallies. It’s unreal. Never had any issues since destiny 1 beta till two weeks ago. Nothing has changed per my internet or set up. Everything else works fine in my house that’s internet based and my Xbox is hardwired.

The servers aren't dedicated, they are peer to peer meaning if one guy in your game is lagging with ass connection everyone else is affected even if you have great internet, that's Activision for ya.
