A remastered version of a destiny 1 map for free and one of the favorite ones. Most games people would be like hell ya. But oh no not here. We say “what the -blam!- you brought something we loved from D1 to d2 how dare you”. All the while everyone is complaining there is not enough stuff from D1.
See this is the problem. In one breathe this forum complains about what is no longer here and in the other complains that we are re-using what was as a re-skin. See there are already enough crucible maps in game. This is a BONUS for FREE.
Now you may say “Well I paid 60 dollars for this game and it’s not worth it”. I looked up some of the people using this line about playtime. On average they are in the 80-100 hour range. Min was 60 that I found.
So if you take that min you payed $1 an hour for entertainment. What other entertainment avenue gives you that.
-Movies you are looking at $5 per hour to go see one in a cheap theatre.
-Concerts $30 per hour to get a marginal seat typically.
-Sporting event(using football) up to $50 per hour just to get in for the most basic seats.
-Amusement parks again typically probably 30-50 for cheap parks(very cheap) base package so about 6$ per hour of entertainment if you spend 5+ hour there without factoring in other add ons.
Everyone just relax and enjoy the game. It doesn’t have to be a soul sucking I need to spend 3000 hours playing this game to be fulfilled experience. This is a source of entertainment... it is a game after all right?
Edit: You want to see a real rip off game go play MCOC for a year and you will see a truly bad money grabbing developer. Sell you something and change it next day with no remorse.

See now that for me is a completely different category then this map thing. Iron banner unique weapons are expected based off D1. Same with the faction stuff. To have them just be re-skins is pretty lazy imo. Doesn’t bother me as much but definitely should be unique to the event and there own model.

I really like this game paid a lot of money for I gotta like it. so I'm going to criticize it. Bungie know they can do better. At least we got cold heart it destroys bosses in public events.

If I wanted to play Shores of Time I wouldn't do it with this version is Destiny. I would pop in the Destiny 1 disk and play it on the mode of my choice in glorious 6v6. I would have supers, decent weapons to grind for and make a contribution to my team. Firing actual weapons. Oh my...

You want REAL TIME VALUE. play no man's sky. Should take you more than a week to hit all the planet's. And people still don't play it. So what would your next argument be for those of us that just want a game we can play. Have fun . Get stronger. And see DIFFERENT things not reskins of stuff that was apparently destroyed.

Lets think about it objectively, this isnt free content but rather reused already payed for content. Free would be something in terms of a new map. Any other no name game try to make a lazy sequel like d2 and everyone would be flaming. But since bungie has already developed a fanatical fan base such as yourself they dont care about the shit they get or improving the game. To say this "new" content is great is something to be expected. Its like saying we get "free fries" at mcdonalds when you buy the meal. No its not free, its content you paid for as a consumer.

Honestly I was on the other side in D1. Playing a different game with a truly awful developer just grabbing for cash all the time has given me a lot of appreciation. It’s not perfect but it’s not nearly as bad as it’s made out to be. We should be focused on what needs to improve. Not complaining on random adds that are just kind of cool to get. That’s my opinion. If community focused on constructive feedback and on specific things we wanted rather than chasing/complaining single squirrel that runs by maybe we could get somewhere. I had a post a while back where many of the problems we have now were asks all the way back in Y1 on the forums.
