There are so many games that get released this year, and next year its even better with monsters like Anthem, Red Dead Redemption 2, i hope that Destiny 2 fall so hard on the ground, maybe after it, Bungie face the nature of reality, and start use the brain and the full scale of potential!

Yeah i can't wait till The Division drops and kills destiny off for good!

Anthem? Anthem? All this over a 5 minute in-game TRAILER. THIS is why gaming communities are so toxic. You're going on about a game that we basically know NOTHING about. ...and the irony is that the game basically looks like a more polished version of Mass Effect: Andromeda. ANOTHER game that got shit all over by gamers.
-
I know too much about D2, that‘s the problem.
-
That shows how much people have had it with Bungie's shit. They're willing to bank on 5 minutes of in-game trailer. The reason this game's community is so toxic is because players feel like they get screwed time and again. And going with that toxicity stems from many places. If a game is highly competitive then the community tends to get hostile because of that. If a developer seems to not listen/interact with their community you get a community like this one. If a developer is a dick to the community then that can create toxicity. Sometimes the community is toxic just because of the game, look at GTA5 there's a good amount of hostility and sketchy people on there.

Destiny 1 was downrated by the media left and right. The Destiny player base was the one who pushed the game to one of the top online games on consoles and twitch. Bungie should not fall on knees, but they should have the respect, that each of this Destiny 1 players that supported the game since first minute, players that got every DLC, deserve more than this. Destiny 2 like it is right now, is just pure player abuse on the highest level. Bungie act like some kind of bot.

No. That has nothing to do with Bungie. ...and everything about how some people are such poorly-informed consumers...and then want to blame someone else when they don't get what they were expecting. Even though they never really bothered to learn about what they were buying. I saw the same trailer, and I'm not "hyped" about anything with regard to Anthem. All it did was show me enough to put the game on my "To watch and learn about" list....and to recognize that both its appearance and cutscenes were just a very highly polished version of the same Frostbite engine-based product that Bioware put out with Mass Effect: Andromeda. Now I LIKED ME: A...and I felt that the criticism it got was really unfair. But it was only a "good" game. I saw nothing in that Anthem trailer that has me believing that its going to be some mind-blowing experience that redefines gaming. I'm old enough to kno that such things only come around once- or twice a GENERATION....if you're lucky.

The reason they feel they get screwed, is the same reason they get hyped for a game with only a 5 minute trailer. Expectations. Overblown expectations that are usually misguided to begin with.

I would be disappointed by D2 even if I‘d never watched a trailer. Why? Because it‘s an awesome FPS with a mediocre story and extremely bad rpg elements.
I would be disappointed by D2 even if I‘d never watched a trailer. Why? Because it‘s an awesome FPS with a mediocre story and extremely bad rpg elements.
As would I, but keep in mind that you're still basing that perspective off of D1 and 3 years of content, consciously or subconsciously. Imagine if we got D2 first, instead of D1. Every single thing would be new to us. D1 was quite screwed up when released (with a whole lot less to do), yet we played the hell out of it. Why? Because it was fun AND new. I'm not defending Bungie, I'm a bit disappointed in it myself. I'm just putting things into perspective. We're suffering from a bit of Destiny fatigue, so while it's leagues better than D1, we notice a lot more of the issues.

D1 Vanilla had more to do...at least far more to chase after.
-
D1 Vanilla had more to do...at least far more to chase after.
Yes, the "chase" was better (forever 29!). But don't in anyway confuse that with more to do. Content wise, D2 blows it out of the water.
-
Not really. Just story and sidemissions...a one and done thing.
-
Not really. Just story and sidemissions...a one and done thing.
And lost sectors, exotic quest/missions, selectable difficulty public events, not to mention more involved public events, even trials. I'm not going good to include random events like faction rallies, as we don't know how many more there will be before the DLC. Look, it dosen't matter if you like, or don't like the content, it's there and there's a lot more of it.
-
Exotic Quests? There were even more exotic bounties in Vanilla. (4 instead of 3) Lost Sectors? Cool, but completely useless. Heroic Events? Nice to have but basically all there is on Patrol. Trials? A joke that isn‘t even content, just more of the exact same as competitive. A good and fun Raid with awesome weapons th chase after? Missing. Awesome Exotics to chase after? Missing. Awesome Godrolls to chase after? Missing. Maybe the pool is bigger...but it‘s also way more shallow.
-
Like I said, whether you like the content or not, it's there.
-
Edited by TeddyBundy: 10/10/2017 10:46:36 PMIt‘s not that big of a deal that stands out though. The game isn‘t even that much better than Vanilla...and it‘s a joke compared to D1 Y3. Yeah, I know...“But it misses it‘s DLC‘s, blabla“...that doesn‘t imply they should take away good features or content that should‘ve been right there at the start of the franchise. It feels like they‘ve learned shit in the last three years and they even confirmed that the game will be released in an unfinished state due to deadlines.

Edited by TheArtist: 10/10/2017 4:20:16 PMNo. My maturity and perspective is showing. I don't expect to be given the world for $60. So I'm not salty when I----inevitably----don't get it.
