Nighthawk isn't good anymore. It's not six times damage so you just lose damage with it. Try it out on any mission boss. I personally was disappointed on the hydra at the end of the rescue Cayde mission. Nighthawk only almost one shots it with a precision hit, without nighthawk you can kill it in two shots and have one left over. It's honestly disappointing that they nerfed nighthawk so badly, it was one of my favorite hunter exotics from D1.

I mean, it does incredible damage, however I don't like it when a whole subclass is shaped around an exotic. For example if you unlock Orpheus rigs you will use them on nightstalker (pve) and if you unlock the nighthawk you will use them on pve. Voidwalker devour build is a solid build, NOT focused on an exotic. You benefit from exotics of course, but you whole build isn't centred around it. I think hunters need to be relooked at. Keep Orpheus rigs, but give tether precision damage. For gunslingers, make the 6 shot (outlaw) explosive damage. And the bottom tree (sharpshooter) has some stuff that's in need of change. The precision damage and orbs of light are very very awesome, an advantage over d1. However, gunslingers trance is a little problem. With the trance you can unlock your super fairly fast, but golden gun (especially the one shot from the nighthawk) is usually used once a boss comes, meaning it sits at full for a while. Gunslingers trance should perhaps give you increased stability (like d1) for all members of the team for every crit hit, and when your super is charged give yourself and nearby allies increased precision damage. Or something like that. OR something to have over the nighthawk that would give you increased melee and grenade cooldowns or just plain better crit damage while gg is charged. Sorry for the long reply, I love ginslinger, especially sharpshooter but I just don't like a whole build centered around an exotic.
