I'll be honest, i was already pretty salty about the game by the time raid rolled around. I dont think they really gave it any effort, i didnt like the aesthetics, i understand the cabal are an empire, but for three years i had envisioned the cabal raid, and this wasnt even close, where are the tanks? Wheres the advancing cabal army? And the six noble guardians sent out to defeat it? The weapons and armour are a total let down, no relevant perks to the raid, so why would i want any of it over the stuff i already got?? The baths section just felt so lame, like i still dont know what we were shooting or why?? The dogs was alot easier than people had said, i was dreading it, but it was very easy and very boring. The gauntlet was fun, but as a whole segment of a raid? No not really, where are the boss fights? Oh yeah and the bosd fight, we gave up eventually due to stones throwing people in the air or something kept happening to the guys in there, ran out of time. My clan has beat it since, but im no longer playing. The tokens are the most disappointing thing about it, like you do raids in d1 you will slowly get geared up in that raid, so by the time you get to the boss you have some helpful gear. In this i get tokens and keys i can redeem after?? Not fun. Which brings me to the underbelly, yeh sure sounds cool, but when you just wanna get your rewards and gtfo its a pain in the arse. All in all i think the bit that made me enjoy the raid the least, is the supers and weapons we have currently, i dont feel like a space magician anymore, i have to constantly use primary, of which none of them feel like they come close to a bad weapon in d1. My super might be built up in a years time who knows?? It just spoilt the whole thing for me. What do you like about it? Seriously id like to know? Maybe i made a snap judgement whilst being salty as -blam!- im not sure??

  • You make some very valid points that I do agree with. For me the token system works outside the raid, but it should not have been implemented inside the raid. Drops should have been as you went along. The aesthetics of the raid I love tbh, its probably the most unique raid they've ever created. The underbelly is difficult because that's also a test, if you want easy rewards do public events. As for the encounters, I'd have liked another boss style encounter but everything makes sense as the raid plays out, he's testing your ability to take him on as did Oryx in Kings fall. Your vision of the cabal raid is ultimately a little bit more like the campaign, they probably didn't want to make too similar to what we already seen in the home coming mission. Well hopefully the next raid is more to your liking.
