The players going for Worlds first on the Prestige difficulty aren't going to cheese an encounter anyways. These are elite raiders, 99% of which who steam. Plus the time it takes to cheese an encounter takes more time to set up then to simply do the encounter normally. The player base that is cheesing the Raid is the casual player base that can't complete the Raid as designed and have average or below skills. So why even push it back a week? This isn't the only thing people are pissed about either. There is no incentive to do activities. Trials gear, Raid gear, hell even faction specific gear, doesn't have unique perks for playing in specific activities like Crucible or social spaces like the EDZ. Same things goes with the weapons... There is no reason to grind for that perfect role on a weapon... Oh you got the Better Devils hand cannon? Congrats because you, the next 10 you get, and every other player in Destiny 2 are going to be the same. Weapon perks like Dragonfly should be perks we can equip to weapons as well as armor specific perks like faster revives on teammates or the chance to generate an orb when killing Cabal as well. You want us to collect all this static gear to allow for more customization amongst Gaurdians, but then we can't even collect all the gear because we have no room in our inventory or vault too. Our Vaults are being taken up by Shaders because we can only hold 50, yet you have 60+ in the game as well as mods, weapon and gear sets we are trying to collect, exotic ornaments, etc. I have three different characters (like I'm sure most Hardcore players do) and am sitting at 180+/200 vault space because there is so much random stuff that I can't hold on to that I have to put away. You want us to collect stuff, so then add in a kiosk or something that allows us to collect everything, see what we have collected/are still missing, and pull that gear out whenever we want. Found an EDZ Titan Helmet? Dismantle it if you want, but allow us to go back to Devrim Kay to repurchase it if we desire. Found Better Devils and accidentally dismantled it? Go to the Tower, access a Legendary Kiosk, and find it in a list to aquire it. After three years of Destiny 1, you guys listened to the community and took many steps in the right direction to improve upon and make the game better. However, when Destiny 2 came out it's like all that went out the window and you took 3 steps back to cater to the more casual player, when your main player base is the hardcore player. Someone who spends 30 hours a week on Destiny 2 should feel like there time is being rewarded greater then someone who logs in and plays for only 2 hours a day. And don't even get me started about Adventures as there is absolutely no reason to do them after a certain point... I'm tired of RNG from vendors too. I really enjoy how the Trials Vendors are set up. You get X amount of wins and you get to choose your reward from three different options when you level them up. Why can't other vendors be like this? If I'm not turning in engrams to Devrim Kay and instead tokens then why can't I choose my reward? Why can't I pick and choose to build the Legend I want to become, or have we forgotten about that? It's one thing finding engrams and turning them into the Cryptarch for random rewards, but planet Vendors is another topic. Should I talk about reskinned gear too? The common auto rifle Pariah you get in the start of the campaign is simply a Scathelock. Your exotic ship is simply a reskin of another common or legendary ship simply with a new paint job or light on it and there is nothing exotic about them. Faction Armor like Dead Orbit is just reskinned EDZ armor with the DO logo slapped on it. Meditations are simply reskinned campaign missions with more difficult enemies. Etc., etc., etc... I could literally go on and on like I'm sure other HARDCORE Destiny players could, but I'm not the type of person you all at Bungie are listening to right now. Instead you can hear all the casual players complaining, the player base you're trying to sucker in to playing your game, so you're listening to them instead. There is so much to work with and improve upon in Destiny 2. As some Reddit user posted, "Destiny 2 is miles long, but only feet deep." If significant improvements, content, and a reason to continuously comeback to the world of Destiny 2 aren't implemented into the game soon then you're main player base is going to dwindle, move on, and find another game. Oh, and before I forget, give us something to spend all of these useless Legendary shards on... Wreck out.

  • I literally thought the same thing with Xur. I didn't spend a single shard to infuse during week one because I thought Xur was going to be selling stuff at 100+ shards or more since they were so much easier to come by. Wasn't the case though and he sells so little.

  • Save them for now I guess. Maybe they will be useful in the future.

  • I was considering listening to your argument but after seeing "meditations are reskinned story missions" I decided to stop reading.

  • Meditations are simply campaign missions with more difficult enemies, thus reskinned. There is nothing new. Look at the Iron Banner weapons. All reskinned Vangaurd weapons. They bring back a control map for Iron Banner that we already played 3 years of in D1 instead of taking a risk, doing something new, and giving us something we have never seen before. It's all reskinned, recycled, and reused stuff. Very little in the game says that they tried to do something different.

  • It's not more difficult enemies as far as I can tell. They simply scale to where your gears at - I suppose they are technically more difficult than when you did the campaign if you have better gear, but relatively speaking it should require the same level of effort as when you originally completed it. If I'm wrong and it really is meant to be more difficult, it certainly doesn't seem like it (and wouldn't be worth it, anyways). The best part is half the time I get more loot during the mission than I do as a reward for doing it.

So what would meditations be if not heroic story missions? I guess they could just remove them which would be less content. Destiny has one of the dumbest communities that feel like they are entitled to everything.

  • Just another person that thinks releasing a subpar game $60+ after we paid 100+ for the same thing AND more already is acceptable. Destiny 2 literally could have been a DLC for Destiny 1 and there are plenty of people who think that. The truth hurts.

Destiny 2 could have been a dlc? Ha! You must be joking. Destiny 2 is bigger than destiny 1 vanilla in so many ways. I also love your comment about how you payed $100+ for the same and more... Call me crazy but destiny 2 has a lot of differences and no shit you'll get more when you pay more money.

  • The main player base is not the sweats, it's the casual player, thank god for that. There is a small percentage actually on the forums and most are the whining sweats. Give the game a chance, been out for barely a month. And, as always, if you are that miserable, go play something else.

  • And there's even more that I left out that could be said. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Something needs to be done with this game BEFORE the next DLC drops in December or else this game won't see a year with of life.

  • Dude ..honestly there are areas all over destiny 2 that you can tell 100% they are reused from destiny 1! Like they created that area from a base model of am area from D1 but they'll add a rock or a tree or just make small changes, I see it all the time, it's hard to explain but every once in awhile I'll see an area that I'm in and be like holy shit this looks exactly like "x" from Destiny 1! And you can stand back and look the area over and tell 100% it's the same exact shit fight we've seen for 3 years in the last game! Prime example would be how the "new" iron banner map is a -blam!-ing map we've had in the last game for 3 years, that we all already paid 150+ for to play! Idk wtf bungie was doing man, I have never in my 30 years of gaming seen anything like this game, the reskin and laziness is in -blam!-ing real! Over 3500 hours between all my characters on both console and I could honestly care less to ever play Destiny 2 again. Very -blam!-ing sad man, I can't barely even find anyone to so nightfalls with already! And honestly, I don't care yo even do the nightfall lol there's absolutely no motivation or reason to play this game already, m

  • I know the exact feeling, and I can almost immediately see the D1 area in my head. Not only is it in the look of the area, but the layout of most areas including bunkers and caves and alcoves. I would go as far as to say, 80% of D2 is rehashed level design from the original. Even crucible maps play exactly the way they did previously.

  • As a casual player I can't agree more. I missed two nightfalls, never done the raid ( too scared ill fail to communicate ). Thats still enough to get me to 299 power. I don't like the fact the only way to increase your power is to do the milestones. The grind isn't as beneficial as it used to be ( I miss spending 4hrs in pvp just to get the new thorn cuz it looked cool ) The lack of unique trials/raid gear is a sad thing. Back in d1 it pushed me to do the raid just for chaos dogma, now, especially with the clan engrams that give you the raid stuff, there is no point to force yourself (got the prosecutor on the first trials engram, lul ). I just hope they realise all this and drop a huge throwback patch and bring back all of it.

  • I wholeheartedly agree with this post. It's to the point now where I barely log in anymore. Once you obtain 305 on all characters, which was easy, it's a total snooze fest. I felt bad yesterday because a clan mate sent a party invite but I wasn't going to actually log on unless there was something to do. I'm to a point where watching TV is more fun. To the people who like to say get out and do something, once my work day is complete, I would rather wind down with some destiny and enjoy it. D1 had that. Where is it now? Let's not even get started on friendship. That was already built in D1 so they need a better excuse.

  • Exactly. Once you reach so called "end game" there is no incentive to do it because everything is just mehhh compared to everything else. It's all cosmetic and power doesn't mean anything. You don't need to do end game content to reach the max "power" level either so why bother with it.

  • Even though i think its stupid that the vault isnt sorted into sections (weapons tab, armour tab etc...) Do you really need all those shaders? I mean, come on...

  • To be honest, no I don't need all those shaders as I'll only ever use a handful. It's the point that they have over 50 shaders though, don't give you enough room to collect them all like D1 did with Eva Levante, so then others including myself have to decide which to delete or which to put in the vault that takes up room. And some of these shaders I'll never use I have 100+ of which takes ages to delete and down the road I'm just going to accumulate them all over again.

  • The shaders aren't the issue. It's the fact that you can't mass delete them so it's easier to toss them in the vault. Especially the ones that have acquired more than 100 of one kind.
