I am an average Destiny player who plays Destiny about 4 days a week and have a 288 warlock. I have yet to complete a nightfall strike. Every one I have tried just seems to be so difficult even when everyone knows what to do. Is this something Bungie should look into. Should they dial back the difficulty just a little bit or do I just suck. Does anyone else have this proble?

I watched a great video on youtube earlier called Game Makers Toolkit about developers forcing players to play in a certain way. You should never be punished for playing your own way. Maybe keep the timer but if you run out of time you lose out on extra tokens or something.
-
i do hate the time limit and ive never even been able to join a guided game how long do you normally wait?
-
No! They are just not as fun as they used to be
-
I've stopped doing them. They just arent fun in d2. You can make something challenging while still keeping the fun factor and the timer was a terrible way to manufacture difficulty. It just makes doing the nightfall annoying so I've stopped messing with them
-
The difficulties fine if there wasn't a timer on it. I don't know about anyone else but I hate timed quest in any game. They're just a lazy way to make thing more difficult and it takes all the fun out of it.
-
I think 3 average players should be able to smash it, if you have 1 average player and 2 dead weights then it not going to happen.
-
This weeks nightfall is easy. Weapon loadout better devils, mannanaann, and wardcliffs coil. Easy as pie. Kill stuff and ride your sparrow every chance you get.
-
No. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

They are easy. And i am an average player.
-
I wouldn't say that you suck. There is a science to completing nightfalls now however. I've ran many guided nightfalls, all of them being successful on the first try, and it comes down to communication and planning. Using the modifiers to your advantage and tearing shit up. Lol. Keep going man you'll get it.
-
It is supposed to be hard to beat it is mental preparation for the raid. The "average player" complains that the nightfalls and raid are too easy/boring and they have nothing to do.

15 RepliesTry prestige. It's really a punch in the guts

Last week's was pretty hard, but this week is easy. Just run through the strike & kill stuff, & you'll finish with ease.
-
If you're not finishing it, it's pretty obvious that not everyone knows what to do. You need the right weapons (no grenade launchers), communication (to team- shot those pesky shields) ,coordinate supers & a minimal understanding of the strike & it's modifiers so you know where to rush and where to clear everything. All that and you should have minutes left on normal. This weeks nightfall we ran; (primary AR or SR) + 3 Uriels (Arc - for those pesky shielded harpies) & rocket launchers. 2 minutes left on Prestige.
-
I don’t think the base version is. The timer seems rather generous to me, especially when you’re doing the objectives. The Prestige definitely can require more thought though
-
Listen, There are a lot of activities in Destiny for everyone. Nightfall is not one of them. Nightfall is a top tier activity that rewards top tier rewards. That is the point.
-
It's challenging, but not sweaty. Give it a shot, you might find it's easier than what they say.
-
Feel free to message me if you ever want assistance doing a nightfall
-
It doesnt matter they are pointless anyway, like the rest of the game.

Edited by Daddy Sanctus: 10/10/2017 9:28:57 PMI would consider myself a pretty average player, and I haven't had too much difficulty with them. Granted I typically play with my clan when we run them. Usually we'll fail once and then complete it on our second try, sometimes we fail twice but not often. The timer's are pretty annoying, and I wish they just had more enemies instead of a timer, but whatever.

I don't have a problem and try to do a few guided games a week when I get bored though last week was probably the hardest so far but it still wasn't too bad. That being said it does take an efficient team that kills the mobs rather than running past them

I agree and guided fails as well. The first nightfall seemed like I was doing way way more damage to the enemies now i swear they take way more damage. Does the Nightfall scale feels like it.
