About Emperor Calus...
What exactly are his powers? Literall no other Cabal show any such supernatural abilities. Yes, there are Psions, but they are a completely different species and their powers are nowhere near as strong as Calus's. So, where did his powers come from? Is it literally just because its a robot and not actually Calus, or do the robots share his same abilities? And what about that purple goo? There's clearly something strange going on ith old Calus

The purple goo is jelly made from the berries that grow on the leviathan and are in the pots everywhere mixed with rock from nessus.

1 Replywell, he does call himself a god - because he met nothing, i have no idea. but he met the nothing, and he aspires to be as great at as it is - personally I think it has to do something with the worms that are in the Hive - worms are everywhere in this raid - the worms are what causes the Hive to be immortal and unkillable unless you slay them in their own realm, but then even if you slay them - the worms.... the worm may not have died, so you really didn't kill what empowered them in the first place, since they were just the vessel in which the worm lived - parasitic worm that has an insatiable lust for death to feed it - and that's why the Hive conquer. but this is just theory - some say the Ahamkara are the worms - some say the worms are in the Ahamkara... some say the worms are the darkness, others say the worms work for the darkness. all in all - we don't even know how long the Cabal live or what their home world looks like or what their true military powers are - they built a leviathan ship that eats planets. Or what the Arkborn are but the purple stuff is a special formula made from the spores of the plants that we use to kill the doggo's - the royal nectar. its mixed with parts of diluted planet to make the royal drink. nobody knows why he drinks this or where he got the notion to do this - im sure it will come about soon though... hopefully.

Edited by BLAST: 10/9/2017 12:44:45 AMIt is slightly hinted at that Calus may have had an encounter with an Ahamkara, a race of intelligent dragons in Destiny. These creatures were known to guardians as 'wish-dragons' in some cases as the guardians would seek them out in order to gain something that they sought after (ex. knowledge, a little extra luck, etc...). The dragons would be hunted by order of the City in order to keep guardians from leaving their posts so regularly, thus initiated the Great Ahamkara Hunt. So these dragons are now rare in the Sol System, but remnants of them remain. In Destiny 1 (and a case in Destiny 2) there are Exotics that included the bones of Ahamkara grafted into the armor piece and the flavor text, which included the following: "...Oh bearer mine...". This phrase is shared by Calus in an instance when addressing the guardians: '...O Champion Mine...'. Its something you kind of have to go looking for, but the simple phrasing does tell a bigger picture. Edit: The Ahamkara/bones were also psychologically persuasive, meaning they could influence one's mind whether they were alive or simply bones. The Ahamkara are also believed to be the same creatures that granted Oryx, The Taken King and his sisters, Savathun and Xivu Arath, their ascendant power; thus turning them into the Hive Gods we know today. Same could potentially be said for Calus.

The only thing I’m confused by is the dimension/wind room. Other than that I can’t think of any real “powers” he has

1 ReplyKinda pisses me off that the cabal are magic now. They were the one race without magic. I was hoping a Cabal raid would be all about them using brute power. The instakill would be a room flooded with missiles or fire. This raid really disappointed me for it being a cabal raid.

1 Replywell my interpretation of his powers was its not really him doing these things, I think its more likely its the councilors. Take when we get sent to the shadow dimension, he claps his hands right before we are teleported. I believe he isn't sending us there himself, he's signalling his councilors to do it by clapping. as for the purple goo, I would have to guess it has something to do with royal nectar, though I have no idea what its used for. maybe an aphrodisiac.
