It all honestly looks like a shitshow. I know this forum is notorious for whiners but even so, there's so damn much negative feedback, complaints and suggestions that Bungie and the dev team just aren't addressing at all. That's not great. Of course there's real positive feedback but it seems that's severely outweighed.
I absolutely adored Destiny 1 and even the Destiny 2 PC beta, but seeing the torrent of criticism in these forums and on Reddit is starting to make me want to cancel my pre-order for the Digital Deluxe Edition. I know there's a lot of reasons to wait and find out but seeing the evidence that there's so many issues with Destiny 2 that aren't being addressed, why not claim back that £79.99 I spent? I'm sure I can't be the only one slightly put off already.

2 RepliesEdited by FACE_PLANT_SLAM: 10/8/2017 2:43:17 PMThe only mistake bungie made was to start over again, Activision Blizzard would not have done this with Warcraft, they just kept on adding to it, people put alot of time into D1 and in D2, that time you spent is no were to be seen, you grind virtually the same exotics, which i like but would have preferred to keep them in the first place and not lose them. D2 is a great game if you have not put time into D1, that most have, that saying D2 is only getting better not worse, people say Bungie do not listen, they do but they are not going to address individual problems and needs of the old faithful. Activision Blizzard has a share value and they will not come out publically and state this and that about a game, this could cause a shift in price in their stock, so from a bussiness point of view they are very smart indeed. Business is for money and bigger things happen to people who come out and effect that. Bungie are trying something with this i am not sure what the motivation is, but i bought the game knowing this so i cannot complain to much as i knew what D1 was like and to be honest i still feel it gave me a ton for the money i spent on it. No film or any other entertainment has give me as much to talk about good or bad and it has occupied my time for the last couple of years. Thanks bungie, keep up the good work, people put me down in my job all the time, do i listen yes, do i take it on board and let it reflect how i do things in the future, maybe, maybe not, either way it is food for thought and that is all it is. On a lighter note i still feel like a NOOB in D2, watch the vid if you want to find out more, ahahaha.

I enjoyed D2 well enough But honestly, I don't see it being a good PC game. There's only so much competition for RPG shooters on consoles. On the PC there is more to play.
-
I for one Think the game is good plenty still to do for me , have not done the raid dont think I will trials I'm not bothered about don't play long enough but the wife likes the game too so we play an hour so per night, I'm in no hurry to hit 305 either . But there is a lot of negativity about the game but if it keeps me entertained for a while then I'm happy I don't regret buying it , I had d1 from day release too .

If you are a D1 superfan you will enjoy D2, no doubt! Just be ready for a very simplified dumbed down version of D1. Nothing new and the replayability once you hit 305 and have done the raid 10 times is small. I played D1 for 3 years and rarely got bored but 1 month into D2 I am struggling to stay interested. Don’t cancel your pre-order, its a great add on to D1 and I am sure every expansion will make it better. With Iron Banana and Hard mode raid coming out just 1 month after release I see lots of new content in our future.

5 RepliesEdited by Locker: 10/8/2017 3:52:24 PMHonestly the majority are little ps4 kiddos bitching and moaning . Play on the pc you’ll enjoy it quite a bit. It’s the same 100 or so people on the forums constantly crying and whining . It’s been that way for years . Check their stats 9/10 they don’t even have a character and their just here to grief . Sad really

Edited by Milk: 10/8/2017 2:21:12 PMDid you like Destiny? You'll probably like Destiny 2. Did you love the game because you loved grinding for hours on end looking for a God roll? If that was your reason you liked the first game them this game, might not be for you. It's fun for some. Ultimately it's your life, if you like it, welcome to the family. If you don't let it gather dust, or return it, or whatever it is that they do on the PC when they don't like something.

Here’s the truth. It really is fun. Of all the crying and moaning there is really only 1 legitimate issue. Replay ability. I play about 10hours a week. Within 1 more month I’ll be 305 on all 3 toons with every single meaningful activity complete. Now if Bungie plans on quarterly content releases that’s no prob, but if we’re waiting until April like the D1 model, it’s a big problem. So keep, or don’t keep your pre-order with longevity expectations tempered. I am hoping the new CoD will be awesome or Anthem so I’ll have something to play in the 3-4 month long content drought we’ll likely be seeing in D2.

Listen. If you played Destiny 1 and enjoyed it, you'll like get bored of Destiny 2 quickly. It doesn't contain the incentive of random gun perks, therefore chasing that perfect roll for your play style. It also doesn't have weekly bounties that encourage long term play time. The Smart Loot system is gone, and duplicate Exotics are rife, killing the fun of receiving Exotics. Overall, Destiny 2's problem isn't lack of content. It's lack of Incentive. I'd urge you to watch this review, it explains everything I have said, and more, in great detail. https://youtu.be/iPC9k5Bxnxc As a huge fan of Destiny, 3500 hours and many happy memories. I've done nothing but complain about Destiny 2 since launch. And that makes me sad that I have to admit, I don't really enjoy Destiny 2.

The game is fantastic. Obviously there is plenty of room to grow, by design, and even more obviously, that’s a disappointment to many. That being said, this is the industry today. It’s not Bungie’s fault. I blame Candy Crush. Regardless, this forum is absolutely full of petulant little whiners that spend most of their time complaining while everyone that is enjoying the game is busy playing. I wouldn’t cancel your preorder. I find D2 equally as compelling as D1 was at launch and I think it will grow in a very similar way; what we will have at the end will be a much greater experience and I’d say it’s best to get in early. Don’t let the hate spoil the game for you; make your own decisions.

Naw these forums just complain to complain, There is no pleasing them. Don't let it put you off

Edited by BarretOblivion: 10/7/2017 11:32:24 PMIn all likelihood Bungie either forgot the Hardcore audience and want to pander too much to the casuals so much even the casuals are complaining. That or they just got busy helping make sure PC runs smooth. Hope after the PC release we will hear more info on how they plan on fixing the endgame.

1 ReplyBungie made 'Halo', which made standard, theater mode, big team battles, energy weapons, vehicle hijacking, controllable air and land vehicles, space battles, community fileshares of maps and variants for private or public games, online four man campaigns, and forge. Activision brought standards like, customizable loadouts and subclass perks, realistic graphics, and weapon modifications. Both companies had stories millions remember generations later. "Soap..." "It's the demon"... Somehow, with those accomplishments in their history, people find a way to defend destiny. Destiny, 3 years of reskinning, reselling and nerfing of day 1 content. Thank you to those who boycotted this newest installment. I know its harder to take a stance than follow a crowd and i comend those of you who stood against this trash and demanded more by using your money to speak, the only language companies comprehend. I traded in my preorder for a google play card and havent stopped playing app games. Cellphone games> Destiny franchise.

First Destiny DLC coming I wont be buying...

3 RepliesI wouldn't even bother with the PC version if I were you. Every time a console game has been ported to PC it's been a complete shit show. Unless they had a team working on a PC version separate from the console team you better prepare for a metric ton of bugs, crashes, and issues in general. Not to mention the hackers that'll be all over PvP. Which is why I quit CoD back when Black Ops III dropped. I'd bet money that the month delay isn't because they developed it separate to make sure it runs just as smoothly as the console versions. Bet your sweet Vex Mythoclast that it's to slap on Denuvo so the game can have seizures while you try to play it, outside of the above issues.
