Bungie is a very liberal company...
Liberals want to make everything easier to obtain for those who are less fortunate...
Bungie read all the complains from hunters in destiny 1 and realized a lot of the casuals couldn't do end game content and quit the game..
Play station trophy percentages were low for this game...That was a slap in the face to Sony.
Thus they made destiny 2 a casual friendly game.
And helps create more streamers to stream their game which then equals more advertising and leads to more profits.
If Bungie was conservative. They would have it to where your hard work in grinding would pay off to how good you became at the game
Bungie is playing politics. Read some of the tweets from the Bungie employees and see how their political views decide on how they developed this game.

I don't know if I agree with the liberal thing, perhaps I don't understand it. It seems to me that Destiny is deliberately designed to be addictive for the purposes of maximizing profit. Doesn't sound liberal to me.

I would agree but then we would see more pay walls if that was the case it is more likely they made everything way to accessible. The problem facing D2 atm is that NOTHING is worth doing trials gear, raid gear, faction gear is all even in power and lack and fun or interesting perks. Exotics are also in a TERRIBLE state seeing as these items are really just infusion fodder and most aren't even worth using atm. (The"snowflakes" of D1 warned people this was going to happen but no one listened) The faction rally was cool in theory but anyone with a brain know the edgelord fks were going to choose objectively the worst faction with objectively the worst gun. On top of that they just added token farming....no quests?...bounties...ANYTHING. The weapons were fine but the rally had no personality or real reason why I should look forward to the next one as DO is going to win every time as long as they have black on there shaders regardless of LORE or better weapons being held by the other factions. The raid itself mechanically is fine imo all it needs is to be more rewarding. The only sore spot for me is that there is absolutely no reason to do the prestige mode at all seeing all the loot is reskinned normal mode stuff at the same light as normal mode. Trials and pvp as a whole suffers from the meta culture that seems set on homogenizing everything it touches. I have yet to set foot in the crucible in D2 and am perfectly fine to never do so based on what I've seen. Patrols are MUCH better than D1's patrols but still are missing depth the lost sectors serve no real purpose and public events are the real endgame. D2 need structure in the form of a progression path, it is ok if there is an endpoint but people need a clear objective and bungie needs to say no on capping from public events and make that early progression and move things into strikes/crucible then NF/call to arms ending with trials and raids. Exotics need to be worth grinding for and they need to be few and far in between. Bungie went the wrong way down this road by making exotics equivalent to D1 legendaries ( not vanilla legendaries more like poe items woot shank burn.) They should have sought to make exotics more like ghorn than like sunbreakers (never forget) Then every gun in the normal legendary pool has 2-3 model clones which is lame. mods are boring and are or of pain in the ass than an enjoyable addition.

But still encapsulates the worst practises in money grubbing. Thats always the downside of idealogical subscription. That's still no excuse for a AAA title to roll out a very scarce content game and say ,ah well it's a casual game especially after the adds they've ran saying there will be loads of loot, we want players to complain there's to much story ect. Bungie have bullshitted there way to another nice profit because of gullible idiots like us. Seriously there needs to be some laws put in place to stop game developers down right lying to people to get sales. I believe in the real world it's called bait and switch which bungie have become fluent in.
