They truly did it. They removed the one thing that made Iron Banner unique. Our power level no longer matters.
I enjoyed it when i was out leveled in D1 by 20+ Light. THAT is what makes skill matter. Outplaying a team that out ranks you in power.
Now the playing field is leveled like the rest of crucible. Atleast the gear looks nice. To bad it will be -10 of your power.
I guess there is one other brightside. For one week we can choose a playlist that doesnt change game modes. Guess its to bad its Control and not Clash.
Come on bungie.. What players are you even trying to cater to anymore. I want the thrill back. The grind. The excitment that comes when Salad Hands doesnt have the gun for sale you want and three days in the gun drops for you after a match.. Bungie. What have you done.
Needless to say, i will still play a few matches a day because if this game ever does become what it was Destined to be i dont want to come back in with catch up to do.

5 RepliesIt doesn't deserve the title Iron Banner. Should be Styrofoam Banner now
-
I just dont get what will be the difference between this and trials or competitive? Is it just loot? Because right now it just sounds like the same game mode no difference
-
2 RepliesI was hoping Iron Banner would be a 6v6 game mode, making it stand out among other PvP game modes. Oh well.
-
1 ReplyI never knew people played IB so they might have a level advantage to win. Was the advantage even significant? Was it noticeable?
-
13 RepliesThey'll complain no matter what...

10 RepliesEdited by floorshow: 10/7/2017 1:14:07 PMPower Level is gained through PvE activities. Shooting programmed AI enemies for 40 hours a week does not entitle you to an advantage over real people in PvP. That's not what competitive match-based PvP is. If you're looking for handouts in PvP based on your no-lifing the PvE content then perhaps Destiny 2 is not the game for you. Maybe you're not a TwiztedKilla after all.

2 RepliesSeriously, who gives a -blam!-? At this point most of the people you would be facing would be close to the cap anyway. Just more typical B.net nonsense. Righteous anger, over nothing.

17 RepliesEdited by Kustom: 10/7/2017 6:05:16 AMhttp://destinytracker.com/destiny/overview/ps/Xxtwiztedkilla Yes I'm sure you out played people while at a lower light level with your "skill" You can't even outplay people in D2 who are at your power level in your skill bracket.

Hey hey what a wonderful kind of greener grass

4 RepliesEdited by StpME: 10/7/2017 4:43:11 AMTaken from the 2015 Iron Banner Post from Deej askimg about their experiences
Lagfest and shotgunfest

Quite a disappointing experience. To some it up. 1) cheaters 2) lag 3) terrible drop rates And level advantages weren't noticeable. Please pass these concerns to the team.

Once I reached Lvl 4, I finally got the sidearm and legs to drop. I bought the pulse rifle. I was placed in teams that were already losing, plus the poor connection others were having. Overall, this first IB was a miss. I do miss the old IB where items either than what he's selling would drop and glimmer was used to purchase gear.

Way too laggy, nothing is dropping for anyone in the armor or the weapons department, and I keep on getting put into games in progress and I'm always put on the losing team

the armor sucks, why bother?

Pulse rifles are way op, need a damage reduction nerf like auto rifles or remove it from auto rifles
im sensing a pattern in this "community"🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Did more than ruin just iron banner ;)
-
They went in dry, Iron Banner is bitting the pillow hard.
-
Not like it mattered before. Everyone was at the same light level half the time and remember Year 1 Iron Banner? People getting killed by a weapon with 10 attack
-
7 Repliesi think in comming IB i will join 100/100 matches in progress always on the losing side :) really, i do not care about almost everything in crusible, I can take care of myself, if i;m getting hate messages from members of 4p teams its not bad :) but I would ask only for 2 things to make a crucible fun for me as a solo player: - matchmaking - solo players vs. solo players - penalties for people leaving matches (maybe 1 hour ban in crucible participation) i know that bungo doesnt care :)
-
Just goes to show how big of a failed illusion this game is. And how little effort and thought was put into it.
-
1 ReplyBUNGIE needs to stop catering to casuals who will play d2 for a month then move on to cod we are the hardcore community we are the true fans MAKE DESTINY GREAT AGAIN
-
They do this for the stupid kids
-
2 RepliesThey ruined everything. Where have you been?
-
And as per the forums... If this was the other way around someone would complain about that too. You people 😩
-
Blue weapons for the win!
-
They ruined everything that made D1 fun.
-
They did the same with trials, these game tyes should be rewarding players who have put in the time to get to max or close to level... yet the way they have it is to cater the the wider population.
-
1 ReplyI just want the armor. Let’s hope we get teammates that know how to play control -_-. Kind of over Destiny 2 if I’m being honest, it’s not fun.
-
3 RepliesDon't you mean MIDAbanner?

31 RepliesEdited by Sainyule: 10/7/2017 12:51:10 AMEven with light levels enabled it took about 10+ light difference to do 1 extra or less damage in D1 iron banner. People at like 300 light would still lose out to people with 290 or less. Unless some kid came in at 200 light, there wasn't going to be much difference in combat between the rest of us. You guys are complaining about something miniscule. Even if they did bring it back it would only make a difference if a difference of 10 light meant a lot more damage then 1 point. And then you guys would complain that it's unfair to lower light levels since people at 305 do more damage since you're only 290. Bungie can never win with you guys.

"They didn't make the game exactly how I want it!" People have been talking like this since the beginning of D1 what's new
