How do you figure D2 is a let down? At this point he game has totally redeemed itself from the Mercury BS. It has everything u could ask for in a game. Multiple PVP modes, PVE raids, multiple story lines, Strikes, weekly and seasonal events, top notch gameplay, fully customizable outfits and weapons, consistent new material to grind for, lots of maps, Black Armory, and most the material is all grind rewarded. There's even a new flux of people coming back to the game because they can't deny it has become the full package for games like this. It literally HAS IT ALL. Best game around right now in my opinion.

He went to the store for milk. The milk is from Tampa and has bigger tits.
-
Died. Off screen cause human for T rating. Osiris is the new speaker.
-
Can't he just use a shard of the traveller like we did! Twas pretty easy ... Or we could use a shard on his bones and just revive him ... NO WAY!
-
He fell 3 feet and died. We no longer had our ghost and were pushed off falling who knows how far and lived
-
Just more proof of how much they just copied from destiny into D2. The postmaster keeps saying things from destiny 1. Including "message for the speaker..."
-
2 RepliesHe -blam!-ing ded.
-

2 RepliesEdited by Sturm with no Drang: 10/7/2017 2:59:04 AMThere was supposed to be a scannable on the wall in the top part of the stairway that leads to the NM side of the New Tower that outright states his death.
-
There's an item to investigate in the tower between the main part and the bazaar (located in a window of the top floor of the flight of stairs between the two). The ghost questions, now that the speaker is dead, who will take up the role of the speaker and how they're already rebuilding the speaker's quarters. Horrible explanation hahahaha. Hope this answers your question

5 RepliesThe consul killed him. He had enough of Ghaul wasting time on the speaker trying to "properly" obtain the light. So the Consul killed him. The mask of the speaker breaking is supposed to symbolize his death.
-
Edited by TrashPanda90: 10/7/2017 4:06:19 PMEris morn, the darkness, and maybe the stranger will all probably be added in future DLC or updates. It is implied that the Speaker is either very dead or very injured. Either way he is "gone" according to the post game dialogue. So, if he is dead than he is dead. If is injured, than he escaped and is in hiding somewhere. They don't won't to give this away. They want the game to be left with unanswered questions and mysteries, so that we have a reason to come back for the expansions. In the main story; however, you see him fall down and his mask get crushed. The guy that crushed the mask hated that Gaul was fixated with the Traveler. I think he killed the Speaker to try and snap Gaul out of his fixation.

Dead. Just like in Harry Potter.
-
2 RepliesIt was pretty obvious that he died...
-
He's dead.
-
4 Replieswhy is everyone saying he is dead? what about the ending cut scene when the traveler exploded and shot a huge blast of light everywhere? you would think all that light would be enough to bring him back or something. unless that blast did absolutely nothing other then kill gaul and wake up the shadow space dorritos.
-
Dead!
-
Honestly the most useless character out of all of them.
A welcome death.
-
1 ReplyHis story arc was properly wrapped up, just like the stranger... lol
-
17 RepliesGeezus give it f'ing time. You're like a kid at Christmas who can't wait
-
Dead as shit my man. Consul ended that dude.
-
HE DED

I mean he had no food and stuff and he was dying, so I’m assuming you couldn’t survive a 10 foot face plant on the cold hard floor.
-
Edited by zNapSack: 10/7/2017 1:06:37 AMHe may very well be kaput*. We saw his face mask (for lack of a better term) shattered and lying on the floor next to his motionless body. In my opinion that's not a good sign. *Meaning utterly finished, defeated, or destroyed. Unable to function. Although not necessarily dead, although it's possible.

He died
