But they aren't regular strikes. They are more difficult, have modifiers, and with wipe to orbit would have just as many people fail, if not more based on videos I have seen of people doing the strikes. (in which most people playing them team wipe at least once throughout the playthrough) Again, I don't see how a timer equals challenging and cannot be replaced with ANYTHING according to you guys.

  • The wipe to orbit concept didn't really work well because it promoted slow, boring gameplay. I would rather run through a Nightfall blasting enemies faces off as fast as possible than just sit in a corner camping. The wipe to orbit idea was just never very fun imo.

  • With wipe to orbit Scrubs and casuals just hid in corners and waited for grenades and supers. They literally abused the lack of a timer to complete content they werent good enough to deserve rewards from. Now the scrubs cant cheese that way. They actually have to kill everything and use strategy. I can accept removing timers from regular, but prestige isnt for everyone and if you cant handle a 24 minute 30 second timer to beat a simple strike you dont deserve the loot. Period.

  • Why do you care if other play that way? How does that make the game worse for you? i have asked this a million times, you guys never answer.

The OP, and players like him, can't admit that they want to be able to cheese their way through the nightfall again.

  • I don't care how other people play it,the question is why do you care? If you don't like sitting back, just don't. I personally would like to be able to play withmy friends and have them actually have a chamce to play this content with me and have fun. As is, they aren't speed runners, but if it weren't timed I could carry them through. Basically, why are you so opposed to other people taking easier routes if that is the result of no timer? How does that change anything for you?

If Bungie gave everyone max everything would you just sit back and say "well I don't care how they play."

  • If Bungie gave everyone every cosmetic, max stacks of consumables, all gear max, would you just sit back and say "well I don't care how they play." . Would you say the same for cheese spots. "You don't have to do them. Why do you care if others do do them?"

  • Yes, I would say the same, but that is not what I am suggesting. Not sure how removing a timer somehow morphed into everyone gets everything.....

  • It's an exaggeration to show a point. Have you ever heard someone explain that you can't break a law and claim ignorance by saying "you can't kill someone and say you didn't know it was illegal." . The cheese spot was a comparison, yet your answer believing cheese spots shouldn't be patched gives me all I want to know?

  • Why is it the bar always has to be lowered? Why not just give the weaker players a reason to improve?

  • What bar is being lowered? You could still play the same way and time yourself, or play however you want, it would just give people who aren't as good a chance to participate and grow, or people who are good, a chance to just have a little fun or actually have some sort of play style. So basically, you just want validation for having a an inapplicable skill of being good at one game, in which you are probably average at best, and everyone else needs to be as good as you. The question then is, why cater to your skill level, I beat last weeks with 8 minutes left, so I think they should change it so that you have to beat everything as quickly as me. My question is, why do you demand an arbitrary difficulty be met, one that specifically keeps players from playing the content at all. And why should it be something you can beat? Why not everyone has to be as fast as the world record holder? Why not too difficult for you to beat, so that you have to get better? I have a feeling that if you were having trouble beating it, or that it wasn't fun for you, you would be the first one here to complain, you just think that because you can beat it it makes you special and like a 5 year old you don't want anyone else to be able to have what you have. My question is then, should there be a double prestige mode, that only a handful of people can beat and that be the only way to raise you gear above 305? Or would you dislike that. You are just making arbitrary lines in the sand, calling them challenging and acting as if they cannot be changed.

  • Lol, put that "elitist" card away. It's a nightfall. Not a world record flawless raid. The nightfalls are cake, no one feels special beating a nightfall. The problem is how far we lower the bar. Double Prestige sounds fine to me. As long as the rewards match the challenge.
