Looking for Lost Pacific Armor.. Not much fun
Hey! I've got a titan at 283* and I've spent the past 3 days dumping Arcology (sp) tokens onto Sloane looking for some particular items. I'm trying to get some Lost Pacific gear, specifically some gauntlets, but I'm having no luck.
What's frustrating is that while I was still finishing the story, Lost Pacific items felt like they dropped a lot more often. I was in a rush to get Raid-ready for this weekend so I was only on Titan for a bit, but now I'm lucky if I can get [i]one[/i] Lost Pacific item to drop after spending 3-4 hours there.
I get that this is how RNG works but.. this is not fun. Does anyone have any ideas for increasing my odds?
At this point I don't even care if it's Legendary gear. I'm playing this game for fun and I just want some Titan shoulders that aren't bigger than my damn head. I may just start using Legion's Bane.

Buy them from Sloane? They are 300 light when bought, but you can infuse them... I plan on buyoing three sets so I can tailor them for my three subclasses ;-)

Don't know if this will help but I read as far as armor power, it looks at what your carrying and your vault. Based on that, I sent low power gear (I'm a collector) to my other Guardians and my drops got better.(luck?) I too want the rest of the Pacific gear and I'm going to try moving the gear I have from my titan to my hunter so it's then "out of sight" and try farming again. Will it work, who knows, but it's a variation that seemed to work in another situation and I'll be grinding regardless so why not try. I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers

4 RepliesYou can't get gauntlets either eh? In the 16 or so packages (last I checked) I STILL haven't gotten a single pair of gauntlets for my Titan. I've gotten multiples of all the other pieces except those stupid gauntlets...

It took me ranking up with that asshole on IO almost 40 times before the warlock robes finally dropped for me.

3 RepliesThe titan armor isnt exactly the prettiest. Everything is bulky, even on the lady titans. As for RNG, only way to beat it is with more tokens. Theres no way you can increase your odds. Just out gamble the slot machine man. If youre not having fun, imagine people who wanted random rolls. The search for the perfect roll would drive people mad.

Just keep grinding is all I can suggest. I tried for a few days straight to get the Io gear. Funnily enough I never got the helmet I needed on Io, I got it as the Io flashpoint reward. I can also confirm that they will give you every other piece you already have 10x over before even considering showing you the one you need -.-

yay, the time to token conversion, followed by a literal definition of a slot machine. If only all the vendors in this game held one arm high and let you put the tokens in their mouths and you could watch theirs eyes spinning.

Wow, thanks for the response. I don't remember the last time someone answered my question on a forum without also insulting my intelligence. It's a shame to hear there's nothing I can do, but reading all this does make giving up on it a little less crushing. I'll just focus on playing the game once every few days and hope I get it soon! Funny I felt the exact same way. Spent a good chunck of time farming titan. Finally got the arms after a couple days. You'll get them soon, I'll send my rng luck to you. Good luck!

Best method I can offer is just play like normal stop trying to force it or grind it out. When your not constantly pounding out tokens for packages you'll probably get what you want the next time you open one. An example, when the rally dropped i was doing tokens as often as possible to fwc on my titan, I got all the weapons and some of the armor but the arms and class item eluded me. Eventually I decided I didn't need them and focused back on normal play. Next time I had tokens I turned them in and got both arms and the class item. Lost pacific are sadly the only non stupid looking legendary arms in the game, I actually just switched to them myself, but I set aside a piece of each armor in the vault just to have them all since im a cosmetic whore.
