Heretic or Zealot. Which is the better Midship remake?
In my opinion Heretic was a great remake of Midship in the Halo 3 Mythic Map pack. It was basically the exact same map with improved graphics and a few minor changes. With the new Reach videos here lately showing off the new Zealot map claiming it's a Midship remake what do you guys think about it? In my opinion it might be a fun map and the colors may be the same as the original Midship, but aside from that it doesn't really look that much the same especially with the new third floor. I'm not hating on the map or anything, I just don't think Bungie should consider it a remake when it really isn't even as close as Heretic.

It is rougly based off midship. its not a remake, but unlike alot of people here im not afraid of change at all. i think zealot looks amazing, but i will have to play it first to tell you with 100% assurance.

I think Heretic is the best remake they've ever done, this new one isn't a remake.

First off, Zealot isn't even a Heretic/Midship remake. That's just IGNorance. It wasn't really a remake to begin with, more of a "spiritual successor". Additionally, in terms of faithfulness to the original, Heretic is probably the best remake there is. I lament the loss of the swingy table though... [quote]R.I.P. Midship's floating Swingy Table. Heretic was a faithful remake of the great Midship. Zealot is "like" Midship, according to Chris Carney, the map making genius of Halo games. I'm sure in keeping with the theme of 'proportionate changes', it couldn't be the same size or layout as Midship. It certainly looks inspired by it. I wonder how many threads are going to arise wanting to debate this irrelevant point?

Zealot is NOT a Midship remake, merely inspired by Midship. So by default, Heretic is the better remake. But I know I will like Zealot better than either because, personally, Heretic/Midship is WAY too small for any combat bigger than a 1 vs 1. Zealot has 3 levels, as well as a bigger interior in general.

Why do people keep saying that Zealot is a Midship remake? If anything at all, it's a spiritual successor. For a start if you've seen the screenshots and videos of Zealot, it's nothing like Midship/Heretic, apart from the Covenant themed environment.
