Guided games are an utter waste of time.
We've been asking for matchmaking and have been provided with a system so ineffective it's insulting.
I am a human adult, I have a life with restrictions and responsibilities that fill up my day. I only get to play my PS4 in fits and starts. I might only get 30 minutes some days.
A 21 minute waiting time as a seeker for a nightfall is utterly ridiculous.
Last weekend I had a rare couple of hours free. I decided to take the plunge and wait the 21 minutes as a seeker. I waited 30 minutes before I gave up.
Bungie, please just give us matchmaking. Give us heroic strikes, legendary strikes or call them nightfalls and just let us play your game.
We've shelled out the cash to buy your game. Stop restricting our access to nightfalls and raids. Matchmaking for both will not result in successful raids each time or necessarily friends being made as you so keenly point out is a goal for you, bit neither does your currant system. Why would it?
Not everyone has the time to fit your narrow view of what a Destiny player should be, and it feels like you, Bungie, don't give a toss about those who don't fit your idea of how to play. Even if they have given you their money.

2 RepliesEdited by Ray-9: 9/29/2017 7:03:41 PMMuch quicker just posting on the forums, posted for nightfall today, got 6 replies within 2mins Some sort of in game LFG would of worked better than guided games.

1 ReplyIf you can only play for thirty minutes you've picked the wrong type of game
-
1 ReplyI've taken 2 players through nightfall this week with less than 30 seconds of wait time, so being a guide is working fine. Sounds like those seeking guides are the ones having problems
-
The problem is, there isn't enough guides. I guided 12 players through the nightfall so far this week and the wait timer for guides is less than 1 minute.
-
They need to offer guides a chance at a exotic for each run with a greater chance for successful completion. Not a lot of incentive right now for guides.
-
Guided games suck ass Pretty much the worst thing Bungie has ever come up with 3x 50 minutes wait and never got a single game I'd rather pull my own teeth out with a spoon than use this again
-
Needs matchmaking Or rewards for groups taking people through on guided Make it something groups want to do for loot rewards
-
Agreed. Matchmaking is a must.

30 Repliesnot surprised the op is getting roasted, i see posts like this often and they are always full of the same “don’t be lazy, use forums, lfg, ect. ect.” My question is this, and i would love anyone who gave a “don’t be lazy” reply to answer it. What harm would there be in having optional match making for every activity? How would that impact people who use lfg or forums to find teams? How would it effect anyone but the people who choose to use it? There is no downside to match making for everything. I will concede that with match making there is a good chance you get matched with thumbless dumpster fire teams. But that is true of lfg or forum groups too, so again, what harm or negative impact would match making create or cause?

2 RepliesLol really? Try waiting over an hour in queue to get into a dungeon in wow
-
Someone is sad they can't get carried ;(
-
Y'all forgetting it's still on beta and they are handling limited tickets. There are no so many guides.
-
1 ReplyI have used it for the nightfall only but a few times already and had good results. Twice as a guide with my clan and twice as a seeker. 50% success so far. It works as I would expect it to. What is condescending about the name? My suggestion is if you are a seeker you should be able to go on your way and play other things and get a message when you are up. Why make me look at my ship in orbit for 15 minutes?

Guided games are a nice addition the only farce here is your damn post . Get together one of your many clan members and bring a raid newbie through it . That’s the point it’s to mentor in the game . If you can’t do the raid you have no business guiding.
-
I raid every night and my team will never use guided games... I'd rather take randoms from LFG. I despise how guided games is geared towards clans and the condescending name alone is a huge turn off. They should have put in simple lobby type matchmaking instead of the gg cluster. Bungie and their "guided" games can take a flying leap!
-
1 ReplyYou're in a effing clan with 95 people in it. Stop whining and act like the adult you claim to be.
-
The wait time is based on how many guides are on and the estimated completion times of them.
-
21 mins as a seeker? Damn.. I tried GG the other night as a whatever they named the other side (the clan looking for a 3rd) and it was under 30 seconds. Either way though, they give you enough tools to find people to play with in this game... Also as a working adult, that lives in the DT core and drinks myself silly, I can say I've never had trouble finding people to play wiht given the limited time I have.
-
3 RepliesFun fact- in the time ot to you to write this post you could have gone to any of the various lfg sites and found a group to play with without the hassle. It Literally takes less than 2 minutes.
-
1 Replyadd me on psn I also have a full time job and life it's G0D_Xcutioner
-
Or do what warframe did make a recruitment chat
-
Join a clan, preferably a big one. Then you'll have 20-40 players to get a group together with every night, in game. And you get rewarded for it. It's been working great for me. (2 kids, full time job......)
-
Op is tomato
-
It's not farse, obviously there's more people trying it out, than there is clans needing people. How about you just make friends, or join a clan and not have to wait 30min.
-
Edited by TooManyBrownies: 9/28/2017 8:58:27 PMGuided games aren't a farce in terms of what bungie were trying to achieve, the issue is bungie didn't think that people don't want to spend time guiding people through activities when they can just lfg for 300+ light people and get it done quickly, the only clans who'll be willing to spend all day guiding through nightfalls and raids is youtubers and streamer clans for views when they run out of content

23 RepliesThere's been a solution to this since year one it's called the recruitment forums or lfg(it's built right into the Xbox dash board.) I'm so sick of reading about people bitching about matchmaking I'm a father of two kids under 5, work full time and I don't play with my friends I all that often, I still manage to get raids and nightfalls done by using these methods. Stop asking for things to be handed to you and do a bit of searchinh... It takes me less than 10 minutes to find a group
