I think logically the Fallen have the largest potential. - The Traveler once visited their world. - They are not 'evil' like the Hive. - They can be reasoned with to some extent. - Members of their race have shown the ability to work with us. (The Reef Queen's Fallen - House of Wolves I believe?, Variks of House Judgement, the Fallen Baroness from the grimoire card, the Captain from the mission in Destiny 2) Next in line would be the Cabal, or a faction of the Cabal. While we did just have to come back from the brink of extinction due to their invasion, this was due to a particular faction. In the past the Cabal have often been fighting the same enemies as us. It's highly unlikely the Vex could ever be an 'ally'. They have been shown to worship some form of Darkness (Black Garden), and they appear to have their own agenda without regard to any other races. The Hive are irredeemable.

 • The black garden is not a place of darkness, it is a place of life. You can still access the Grimoire through the Ishtar Collective website, it's a great site. Here's the grimoire you missed. Legends: The Black Garden I am Pujari. These are the visions I have had of the Black Garden. The Traveler moved across the face of the iron world. It opened the earth and stitched shut the sky. It made life possible. In these things there is always symmetry. Do you understand? This is not the beginning but it is the reason. The Garden grows in both directions. It grows into tomorrow and yesterday. The red flowers bloom forever. There are gardeners now. They came into the garden in vessels of bronze and they move through the groves in rivers of thought. This is the vision I had when I leapt from the Shores of Time and let myself sink: I walked beneath the blossoms. The light came from ahead and the shadows of the flowers were words. They said things but I will not write them here. At the end of the path grew a flower in the shape of a Ghost. I reached out to pluck it and it cut me with a thorn. I bled and the blood was Light.  The Ghost said to me: You are a dead thing made by a dead power in the shape of the dead. All you will ever do is kill. You do not belong here. This is a place of life. The Traveler is life, I said. You are a creature of Darkness. You seek to deceive me. But I looked behind me, down the long slope where the blossoms tumbled in the warm wind and the great trees wept sap like blood or wine, and I felt doubt. When my Ghost raised me from the sea there was a thorn-cut in my left hand and it has not healed since.

 • I was simply referring to what the Vex were doing there, on the mission where the three giant Vex activate, etc.

 • And Osiris has been shown to be within the Vex Mind, as far as I've gathered from an adventure on Nessus. He talks to Ghost through the Vex.

 • My other argument is... Taox. Taox is a character from the books of sorrow who is essentially the royal tutor to oryx and his other two sisters (savathûn and xivu arath) who betrayed them and fled their planet with her life. Taox is of the proto-Hive species who only live about 10 years but in the books of sorrow we find out she has somehow survived longer than that when we find she took refuge on a planet under the traveler much like us (I think it was the harmony but I’m not sure). I think (and hope) that Taox plays a role similar to variks sometime in the future. It is said that oryx and his sisters pursue Taox for years never to find her. I think that she could lead her own faction of the hive to join us as allies in the future. Sorry for the long winded posts btw. Thanks for reading

 • Although yes I did vote fallen, I could see an argument for hive. For those of you that read the books of sorrow, you will understand what the sword logic is. My main argument here is that since we killed oryx and crota, we proved that we are more powerful than their gods, and I’m no expert in hive theology but if a few servants of the light are able to kill their literal gods in their own throne worlds, maybe they might start to question whether or not they’re on the wrong team and have sort of an identity crisis. I know that this is very far fetched but hey you never know with bungo.

 • That is very true. Tolland actually got naff at us for not assuming Oryx's position ager his defeat due to the sword logic. However, Much like what we saw with Gary, the hove have to be worthy.
