Factions and How did you choose
Did anybody else pick their faction based upon the gun that they wanted and not upon literally anything else?
In Destiny 1 I was affiliated with the New Monarchy but I don't want to buy a shitte sidearm so Future War cult it is!

Fwc for the weapons

1 ReplyI chose FWC. Dead Orbit armor was trash this time around. I swore I would never again join New Monarchy because at the beginning of TTK, I spent a bunch of motes to level him up. I got a total of 5 packages. All of them were sidearms. I quickly raced over to Dead Orbit and joined their faction. 2 years later this guy still tryin to pawn me off with his sidearm trash.

I chose NM for the sidearm, because I just can't stand pulse and scout rifles, that DO and FWC are offering.

1 ReplyI chose New Monarchy because of the Armour and Shader options. Also, their Hunter Cloak has chainmail on it!!!! D1 I was Dead Orbit through and through, but their armour just didn't do it for me. The guns didn't affect my decision because I'll still probably run my same set up regardless.

Titan for fwc though it was a tough decision between fwc and nm because the armour looks great from both. Plus the fwc weapons, omolon all the way. Warlock is nm cause of armour looks. Havent decided for the hunter yet cause i havent seen the armour yet for them

One for each. Titan for NM, as ever. Swapped my warlock and hunter to FWC and DO respectively. Basically didn't like the warlock armour for DO (her usual faction) I want my characters to look good, dammit!

I was true to my New Monarchy. I will stay and fight for our home, not run to space or worship war. But rebuild.

Fwc on one toon and nm on the other. The nm shotty is really good. The sidearm is trash though.

Dead Orbit because space goths! (But seriously, I really liked their armour for my warlock and that scout rifle, plus I need more black shaders). Had a really good grind yesterday too, got 3 pieces of armour and a lot of the weapons/shaders! :)

3 RepliesI chose new monarchy for a number of reasons 1. I love the color scheme 2. I love the armor and weapon looks, and Restoration VIII is really good so far. (Restoration VIII is the auto rifle) 3. I was New Monarchy in D1 4. I completely agree with their cause, which is to support the city and create a new golden age. They do this but funding the guardians and weapon foundries, supporting scientific advancement and helping the citizens of the city.

1 ReplyOnly have two characters through to tower presently. Put my main on FWC because the guns they offered looked good (and so far have not disappointed) Went dead orbit with titan as I kind of like the look of the helmet and wanted to make sure I could get the gun cheap if it won. Also because that sidearm does nothing for me persoballly, so left new monarchy behind.

I mained New Monarchy in the original Destiny, figured I'd do it again. Plus since I'm a Titan, I feel like the shaders could make me look like Iron Man IF I really wanted haha I currently have 2 Titans, but I'll delete one and make one of each eventually to be in each faction.
