Factions and How did you choose
Did anybody else pick their faction based upon the gun that they wanted and not upon literally anything else?
In Destiny 1 I was affiliated with the New Monarchy but I don't want to buy a shitte sidearm so Future War cult it is!

Always used nm with my Titan Always used do with my hunter That means the warlock gets fwc

Not a huge fan of New Monarchy. Not a huge fan of my titan. Put them together. Dead Orbit and a hunter just seem like they go together. FWC was the first faction I chose for my first character, my warlock in D1. So they teamed up again.

My Warlock has always been FWC so there's that, but I made my Titan NM and Hunter DO because of the gear mainly.

My Titan’s human so he went with NM Hunter’s Awoken = Dead Orbit Warlock is an Exo so is Lakshmi

Went with fwc on my hunter because I got to like fwc rank 150 in d1 with my hunter. Dead orbit for for my warlock and Titan just like in d1. Fk NM.

I was always a FWC guy. Works out for me that I like the armor and they have the best weapons to boot. I chose the others on which armor looked the best. Sadly the Dead Orbit edge lord crowd will win

I hate NM and always have since D1 launched..... but their armour sets for Warlock and mainly Titan look badass

NM offers a nice AR and a Shotty that seems less effective versus the hawthorne one that i get over and over. I dont use side arms but i like the NM cloak for my hunter so im happy with my choice. I do want " The Number" from FWC though.

New monarchy. Guns in fwc look better but I don't really care about that. I got full hunter set in one night with cloak and my hunter looks the tits

Pretty much everyone else in my clan was going for either Future War Cult or Dead Orbit, so I went with New Monarchy just because no one else was. I do think they could have done a better job with the featured loot. I have a feeling a lot of people will respond like the OP and skip over NM just because of the sidearm.

I picked DO based off color. Always been a fan of black and white shaders.

They way I see it the two obvious choices are either FWC or NM. While I respect a faction that has a lot of ships (which means a lot of guns) and wants to explore space for humanity I can't support a faction that wants to leave our home system. Just look at what happen to the Fallen, plus the traveler is back as well. So for my hunter (my first character) I went FWC and for my Titan he'll join NM

So each class had their own faction. Warlocks sided with FWC Titans with New Monarchy And Hunters with Dead Orbit...obviously because they’re no good sneaky bastards
