Because having 2 movement abilities would be stupid good.
I don't want blink back anyway. Would ruin the feel of strider. and it's the nerfed blink from D1.
maybe if it was blink from the good days.

But they already have 2 movement powers. Jump and dodge, replacing the jump with blink doesn't change that. That being said I never cared for blink. So I would rather they make the movement stat matter more. It should effect more 1 inch in jump height per point, and it should effect sprint.

Normal jump isn't comparable to blink as an ability.

if dodge wasnt complete garbage i would agree, its little if no faster than normal movement, no harder to hit with marksmans dodge anyway and you take full damage while not being able to return any? If all dodges gave you at least reduced damage taken and then paired with invis of nightstalker it would be pretty much on par with the other classes abilities.

I agree dodge is nothing like shadestep. Why people think is a win button compared to other class abilities is beyond me. I was pointing out giving hunters blink doesn't give them anymore movement options then they already have.

Edited by aura: 9/26/2017 2:28:25 PM
Because having 2 movement abilities would be stupid good.
it would make hunters better in the crucible since dodge is garbage. hunters are suppose to be quick and hard to keep up with.
Would ruin the feel of strider. and it's the nerfed blink from D1.
blink would make arcstaff more useful because like I said, dodge is garbage in pvp.

If you think dodge is garbage in pvp you clearly have no clue what you're on about. There are a decent bit of top tier players out there (like coolguy and vanguard) that are speaking about how great dodge/hunter movement is. And no. blink would make it closer to how people WANT to use strider. which is the stupid way blade was used in D1. That's not inherently better. and the sooner you actually start to learn how to play strider instead of focusing on how you want it to be the better it's going to feel.

considering I am better than you and the people you just listed as "top tier" players I think I do know what I am talking about but you're probably a sheep who thinks these guys are actually good and take what they say as fact. blink would make the neutral game and the super actually usable. you can't even compare it truly to blade because the movement isn't even the same and I mained bladedancer all throughout D1 so you can try to argue with me about it all you want. the only good thing strider has going for it is the damage and how long it lasts in PvE and even then it needs an exotic to shine. if bungie balanced blade correctly it would be better than strider because it has better perks and options to be used. "learn how to play strider" lol get a 3+ kd on strider like I do and then we'll see who actually knows how to use the subclass. I just know what's good and what's not. any good player with actually thumbs will tell you the same.
