I was trying to run the raid tonight and we were in Calus, and one of our biggest stumbling blocks was everyone running out of ammo all the time.
The adds just weren't dropping enough ammo, and none of the ammo the adds drop while the three in the shadow realm were doing their part were there for them when they got back.
I totally ran out of all forms of ammunition diluting the Calus Damage phase other than maybe one or two magazines of primary ammo.
There needs to be more ammo in this fight, a lot more.

Easy explanation... Bungie put in the four spawning psions before you are teleported. You can melee them for ammo drops but it punishes you with more adds being spawned when they come back to throne room.

Real titans use their fists. Pussy.

Welcome to Destiny 2 where the Famine Skull from the Halo franchise and the Juggler modifier are always on.

Well instead of telling you that you suck like that other guy... I'll tell you that you need to team shot the yellow bars. Idk about the 10m radius thing but wouldn't hurt to try. Also you can melee a scion before being teleported and it will drop heavy ammo. Killing the scion will also spawn more ads so if you can't deal with it then don't do it. Just keep wiping until everyone is full on heavy and then take him out in 1 or 2 phases. Use grenades on the boss. Pulse grenades are great. Someone is going to run out of ammo if you are doing dps correctly. Just don't panic, stay alive and keep rotating with your team and you will get ammo back pretty quick. Anytime I've ever ran completely dry on ammo I always end up getting it back somehow. The worst thing you can do is panic and start running around looking for ammo and get killed.

Because ammo drops are based on kill/radius. If you get the "kill" you'll get ammo drops. If you get an "assist", but are not in a 10 meter radius you will get nothing. So being a wimp sitting in the back lazily missing and wasting ammo because you suck, then have that one MLG guy running around getting all the kills. You get these results. Poopy players have less ammo because even the game knows they suck, so they give all the ammo to the player doing everything.

Yup. If you are going to take away ammo synths you have to code enemies to drop ammo when you are out. Spent 2 pillars during dps phase running around punching war dogs until a litte kinetic ammo dropped. Missed killing him by a sliver and naturally it all fell apart before we cound get back to a DPS phase. Beat it a little while later but that made me pretty salty.

You need to be smart about how you play it
