Why can't warlocks res? I was playing D1 Ttk PvE messing around, and I can't believe how much is actually cut from this game. Things that made D1 even in y2 unique have been stripped from this game. For what, PvP pillow fights? LoL Bungie dumb screwed up this entire game for the sake of PvP. That's classic...

  • I'm pretty sure that Self res broke way to many mechanics than Bungie wanted it to in PVE which is why they removed it in D2.

  • Yeah, a lot of gamers say that, but if this game wasn't being ruined because this company has this illusion they can "balance" a game that wasn't created to be balancesed that is a loot based sytem. A lot of the dumb decisions wouldn't have happened in this game.

  • Let's be honest, self rez was [b]impossible[/b] to balance in PvP. In the pve side of things it wasn't much better, as every raid group said, "you shouldn't die in the first place" and would therefore not take Warlocks. This has been fixed thanks to the healing/empowering rifts. Bungie made a good call

  • First, rez had nothing to do with warlocks not going on raids. In fact some raids had glitches where a warlocks rez could skip parts. Second they had 2 other subclasses that were great for clearing adds. It might not be the in-game abilities that kept some warlocks from raiding.

Hardcore elitists didn't want warlocks in their group. Once self rez was no longer a useful cheesing tool, many groups in the lfg claimed that self rez was pointless because you shouldn't die in the first place if you were good enough. And being able to clear adds unfortunately wasn't a big enough attraction to warrant having them in some groups. Other classes were capable of clearing tons of adds as well (even if storm caller reigned supreme in that regard) Personally it always pissed me off as someone who played warlocks almost exclusively. A group of 6 warlocks are just as capable of downing raid bosses, it's just the elitist douche bags that made it hard to find a group that knew what to do

  • I'm just saying things that made Destiny, Destiny are being removed from this game. I can see how PvP it was hard to balance but as far as PvE, I've never heard anything like you said.

  • It happened late into TTK, titans brought the bubble, and hunters brought tether. Both classes bringing bonus damage to bosses, whereas Warlocks brought close to nothing (ability wise) to help. I have first hand experience of being rejected from groups because I played a warlock, because they would rather have another bubble/tether That's why I'm personally fine with the changes. The warlock rift now basically ensures that I can get into groups just based off my class alone. Losing self rez isn't too big of an issue, imo

  • See, I played when there wasn't so many stuck up kids play this game and gamers were willing to help one another. Then again, I never had to use LFG. It's funny how a lot of gamers thought the whole group needed a Ghorn to run CE lol. I just think too many gamers cry too much about weapons, each other characters etc, that nerfing the enntire game to the ground is all this company knows how to do.

  • Yeah I had a group of friends to play with, so it wasn't a huge deal for me. But holy shit was the lfg system toxic. "Must have max grimoire score, must have a Ghorn" and in some cases it got to, "no warlocks allowed" So it just comes down to elitist pricks. Personally I think it makes sense to re-work sunsinger into dawnblade, it has a much nicer presentation and is far easier to balance

  • It was a typo, I was on my cell. Res was never an issue in PvE and playing Ttk using a warlock running POE, the min I res they were all over me like fles on... So when gamers say it broke PvE lol.
