You'll have to contact retailer where you purchased The Collection, as they are responsible for providing working codes with their game sales

  • They told me, since the game wasn't opened. That there wasn't anything they could do. That the codes in the boxes were the responseablity of the game makers. All I know is this really sucks.

  • That's simply not true. They are responsible for what they sell. That's like a bookstore telling you to contact the author because a page is missing. No, they should refund/exchange your product for a valid one (all depending on company policy of course).

  • Bought it at game stop. They said they won't refund it or couldn't give me the code. Because they can't prove I didn't already use it. They also said the only code they responsible for Are the ones they print up on the receipts. So now I'm stuck with the game but I can't even use the DLC is for. I waisted like 30 some dollars on this.I don't know what to do now. Like I posted above the call-center that Bungie outsources to are no help

You may need to get GameStop management involved. Also, not sure what customer service you talked to since Bungie doesn't have a customer service phone number.

  • If you look online for the customer service it gives you an 866 number and when you call they say it's for Bungie. Well I guess I'm just out of luck. I don't think I'm not gonna anymore games from this company

  • Dcbaseball is correct, the retailer is responsible for the product. If there is an issue with the codes then it's upto them to fix it. Your contract is with GameStop not bungie. All they did was create the game. Activision published the game. You'll either have to show them any pictures of the codes not working or keep pestering them and maybe look up any laws that may help you. Also no idea who you rang but bungie has no support via telephone. All support is done via the forums. Whoever you rang wasn't bungie. Sounds more like someone has listed a fair number in the hopes you call it to either charge you a lot of money to ring or to trick you into handing over details

  • I wasn't going to Bungie. I'm just really frustrated. Because I don't know what to do now and GameStop isn't helping

  • Ask the store for the name and number of their regional manager, our contact their corporate hqs. Continuing to post here is going to get you nowhere, your purchase was made with GameStop, you need to resolve it with them.

  • You'll have to keep working with GameStop as nothing can be done here I'm afraid. As I said, look for consumer laws to threaten them with as in essence they have sold you a faulty product.

I just double checked, the DLC code included with Destiny The Collection discs is valid from September 20, 2016 to September 20, 2018. Are you sure you bought Destiny The Collection and not Destiny: The Taken King Collectors Edition? I believe those codes expired on September 15, 2017. Either way, the expiration dates are listed on the DLC Code inserts, which, in conjunction with a receipt, should easily prove that you were sold an expired and unusable DLC code.

  • Does the insert that the codes came on list an expiration date?

  • Thank you all for the help. But I just give up with this. I spent all day talking game stop and they won't help. I give up. Still thanks for the help.
