I am a total classical music/film score/game score critic. RARELY have I ever found good soundtrack music. Destiny 1 ticked a couple of my boxes but not 100%. Destiny 2's film score however... IS AMAZING LIKE WOW. WOW. WOW. Awhile back I made a post suggesting that Bungie should implement more classical/string quartet music into their games, (like the Rasputin theme. [which by the way is Symphony No. 6 in B Minor, Op.74 by Tchaikovsky]). I thought is was far fetched since the gaming community likes the more "epic" modern score composer style music like Hans Zimmer's and John Williams' work. That was until now. This music is so incredible. I am. So. Blown. AWAY. They recruited the help of the Kronos String Quartet which I must say impressed me a hundred fold than regular games and even movies. The music is very unique. Some of the parts are very much like the music in Lord of the Rings, (I think it's Return of the King), where there is that one kingdom with the weird Snake guy who posses the king. Of all the expansions I'd say it is more like [i]Rise of Iron's[/i] music if any, but it still is very individual and hold a lot of the nostalgic themes that the first soundtrack held. I know it's a short review, but it's really much more like a praise to Bungie and whoever is in the soundtrack department. Anyway, I guess that concludes my review/semi mind explosion. THANKS BUNGIE!
