What recycled content? Some guns? What, the enemies? Did you want all new enemies, thereby making it a completely different game that doesn't make sense in context?
All of the environments are different, they literally went out of their way to not reuse any environments from D1, including the Tower.
Enemies have been redone with new models, abilities, animations and tactics, including some new enemy types.
Weapons are probably the only obvious example of reused assets, but in the context of the world, it wouldn't make sense if you never saw any of the old gun types pop up again.
This is a persistent game world. Persistent. That means you're going to see some of the same stuff, but they also went to a lot of trouble spending time and money to make new things which players seem more than happy to ignore to justify their petty problems with the game. Strike specific loot? Gimme a break. It's not like the strike loot from D1 was any hot shit.
Take off your rose colored glasses and just admit you either like this game as a series or not.

Seriously how can you say it's not reused content, even the "new" planets are almost identical to the old ones. If you keep the old enemies you keep them in the old planets, otherwise it's not a sequel, it's just a reboot. Is that what I paid for? A reboot?

If by "identical" you mean they have a floor, walls and separate areas, well, yeah. Welcome to video games. Otherwise they're incredibly beautiful, complex environments. Now, if you wanted to hear some constructive feedback, I'd suggest they add more discoverable items in the new environments and a way to keep track of them. Not just sit here and call everything recycled trash. And what would the game be like if they changed every enemy type to something new? It wouldn't make sense. There'd be no context for all this new content you're asking for. I agree, they could have done something a little more interesting with the enemies we do have. The public events are cool and all but could benefit from a little more interactivity, like maybe the drills actually deform the terrain or affect how you play even wen they're gone. That's incredibly difficult to do though, tech-wise. I don't have a problem with everyone complaining, I just expect them to critically think about the problem and offer solutions, not just blanket throw three years of Destiny 1 content back at Bungie and scream "where are my toys!"

And are you seriously saying enemies were "redone"? Its the same damn thing with a few new attacks. Persistent game world doesnt mean get lazy and reuse every enemy and add a few new attacks!! And if it was truly persistent then we would have old russia and the dreadnaught and venus and all the other planets with plenty of new strikes and things added. This game just shows how LAZY bungie is and how bare minimum they have to do to please plebs like you.

Yikes. Some people just refuse to see reason. It's cool man. I gotta wonder why you're still here, but... it's cool.

No re-used assets are you blind??? Nessus is full of re-used vex towers and teleporters. The edz is LITERALLY from destiny 1 or did you never play the 2 maps set there?
-
Literally from Destiny 1, huh? Funny I can't remember the EDZ when I was running around the cosmodrome. And god forbid they reuse an asset that is significant to a race in the game. That doesn't mean they made a map specifically full of vex towers. It's an identifier to maintain a consistent world. Don't take the easy way out and make blanket statements that are obviously wrong. It's cheap.
-
Momento, and Widows Court? The 2 maps set in the EDZ? Or did you not play destiny 1? Dont be in denial and use your brain. Its literally the exact same assets and wayyyy back before D1 was released there is a vidoc where they show a patrol map that looks suspiciously like the exact same edz we got.

Oh, wow. A couple of PvP maps? Whatever man... keep reaching, you can create any kind of reality you want. I'll leave you to it.
