Right we need to set this straight,
Everyone speculating that the massive creature in the depths of titan is Oryx's worm that escaped when his body drifted into space is wrong, let me explain why.
- Basic physics dictate that his corpse would of either fell to Saturn due to its massive gravity or it would of burned up in the atmosphere.
- When we kill Oryx we kill him in his throne world, (his own dimension) so when we exit back to our dimension there is no corpse. ITS STILL IN HIS THRONE WORLD!
- The grimoire (however you spell it) states that when Oryx killed his worm god he LITERALLY carved the dreadnought out of its hide. (Yes the worm gods are bigger than the dreadnought, you think that's big then research "Fundament" the gas giant they lived on.. yeah that's big!)
- I'm all for theories and speculation.

Edited by _Ace_: 10/2/2017 6:20:17 AMThe Grimoire states that Oryx turned his throne world inside out within his dreadnaught, his dreadnaught literally is his throne world, also those were the worm gods not the worms that are in the hive which grow as the hive become more powerful. Also if it was Oryx’s worm is would explain why Savathun and her forces are so interested in invading Titan. Also finally yes Oryx would have been drawn to Saturn due to Gravity, but as is obvious Titan is an orbiting moon of Saturn and has a chance of intercepting Oryx on his way to Saturn

Yeah I agree with you However, oryxs "throne world" is actually the dreadnought. It's weird but, he tore out the dreadnought as his throne world, and the ship is in our own world. So his throne world is only in the confines of his ship, in our world. So if something leaves the ship, it's directly in outlet world.

Edited by A Rising Wind: 9/26/2017 12:45:49 AMI'm not sure how this theory has any momentum, but is not true. You are correct The worm gods (aka, the giant worms), even the one Oryx killed (Akka) are NOT the worms inside Oryx. There is no leviathan sized worm inside Oryx. The giant worms gave Oryx the parasite via swallowing their larvae (small worms). Oryx killed one worm God and used its carcass to create the dreadnaught. The huge ass worm gods are not inside Oryx. Now, there is grimoire reference to ancient leviathans in the hydrocarbon pits of Titan, but it has nothing to do with oryx. And even that frankly might have little to do with that large thing we see in the game

I'm thinking that the creature is Savathuun-related given how much teasing we have in the game related to her, but I'm keeping an open mind. It'd be cool if it WAS Oryx's worm.

1 ReplyIt wouldn't even be able to land on Titan. Titan is outside the rings of Saturn and his corpse floats towards Saturn. The Dreadnought is in the rings as well.
-
1 ReplyAlso, we used Oryx's worm in the Touch of Malice.

2 RepliesWhy then do we see it float into space? Don't put it past bungie to contradict things for the state of cool gameplay and story.
