So I was under the impression that SBMM was not going to be implemented in quickplay. I understand that the language used was that skill would be "prioritized" in Competitive modes, and connection would be "prioritized" in quickplay. However, after playing a good amount of quickplay I can now definitively say that skill is DEFINITELY a determining factor in how the game matches you in quickplay. When I play alone, almost every single match is incredibly sweaty. I'm not the greatest PVP player ever, but when I play with some of my friends (especially when its two or three of them) who aren't the greatest when it comes to PVP, all of the sudden it's extremely easy to drop 3.0+ efficiencies in most matches. So what happens is I'll go off and have some great games, while my friends are performing poorly because for them the "skill" of the lobby is higher than what they're used to, while it's lower than what I'm used to. This means that I do extremely well, but we still loose a good percentage of our matches.
This is the same crap that I dealt with in Destiny 1. It makes it really hard to play with friends because they all get discouraged and quit. The constant loosing discourages me as well, in spite of how well I perform. I really think SBMM needs to be removed from quickplay for this reason.

Only way to tell is to go into destiny tracker and look all the players stats up in your past matches. Too bad we can't do that on this app... I wonder why??
