Yes and people still only use the mida and uriels gift. And on top of that there's no more reason to grind and replay the game week after week.

I play for max light and yes I hate they brought back the mida in its unnerfed state despite us demanding it be nerfed before. Its not a balanced gun for PvP and they haven't learned anything about long ranged auto rifles clearly because that was why autorifles got nerfed to oblivion in the first place

Mida isn't OP. Every other gun is just so crap it feels that way. Do you really like there being no variety in crucible? Without random rolls that's how it will remain. If they nerf mida and change some things it will just be two other weapons instead of mida and uriels/last hope. At least in Destiny 1 there was 7 or 8 guns to use per meta instead of 2 to 3.

I appreciate your logic on a gun that 90% of the community uses and agrees its really good or broken. That gun is and always will be a problem but they bring it back for what reason I don't know. I didn't like it in the first game and I don't like it in this one. I don't use scout rifles but I can grab my mida and I can go on these crazy killstreaks I can't go on with most other weapons. This game doesn't need guns like mida or Uriel's gift and that other thing you just said. Meta becomes a thing when there is something that has many advantages over the other options.
