Agreed.
There is no reason other than to gate people to stay elite and make people think they HAVE to pay for pro carry services...
This has ruined trials.
I say once you take a character flawless each week, you are then limited to matchmaking v your peers. IE other flawless teams.
This opens up the trials experience for everyone. And it doesn't limit anyone. It even creates an elite trials. Not just the best, but the best of the best.
So trials morphs into a tournament style weekend event. Trials is open to everyone. Elite trials is open to flawless.
Everyone starts out in trials. You move up to elite once you go flawless.
Bungie could give swag to the top teams for that week or something and boost advertisement. Heck they've got the broadcasting studio...
I don't see a downside to doing this.
EVERYONE WINS

Bungo knows that a big part of the popularity of this game is trials carries...D1 during the week was not very high on twitch but when the weekend hit it jumped to the top because of carries. Your way sounds much better to me but it won't happen.
-
What this causes is people not being able to play with their group of friends because one hasn't gone flawless, and eventually, results in everyone being the "elite" flawless over the course of, idk, maybe about 6 weekends, because every weekend regular trials of Osiris becomes easier and easier, meaning you would end up making a post about "MAKE ELITE TRIALS FAIR, there should be a THIRD version"

Of course, this would be the knee jerk reaction of a paid carrier. My money! My treasure! How do I keep it safe? By staying in power... This takes all their power away. And makes the game fun again. And I don't feel one bit bad about suggesting it...
-
I think it's a bad idea
-
Ok I can respect that. At least you didn't attack me by calling me salty and saying I have no friends... Why? Is it the same reason? I think it's fixable is all. It's clearly broken as it is. It isn't broken for everyone. But a lot of people would say it's broken...
-
I like where it is this time because it is much easier than D1, and you can still get plenty of loot without going flawless. If there is a separate group, there will still be tough people to play against in the first group so it won't solve much. Then people who aren't good manage to get into the second group, they complain about that group and want a change. What we need is a ranked system for PvP and PvE. I believe this would solve all of our problems.

Lmao dude if you look up my stats you'll see I'm nowhere NEAR a paid carrier haha, I wish I was good like that, but no really this is just common sense. The games meant to be social, And when people can't play with their IRL friends because one has been flawless and the other hasn't it pushes people away from the game
-
Edited by The Dude: 9/21/2017 4:26:43 PMI wasn't saying "you". I even mentioned paid carriers in my original statement. Because this is what they will say! It's the argument they will use. And the game will suffer because of it. And speaking of pushing people away...nothing like a fat gate guarded by people who have gone flawless 20x already by 5 pm friday...it needs to change
-
But something as arbitrary as "they've been flawless" is exclusionary
-
Now an appropriate suggestion would be to have skill tiers like overwatch where bronze players have almost no chance of playing with diamond ones. THIS would be an appropriate fix
-
I mean. You obviously don't have friends IRL who play also, because you wouldn't be saying this salty ass shit otherwise
-
Ok. You obviously need to be muted because you are mean.
-
How am I mean? I didn't say you didn't have friends, I said you didn't have friends who play destiny
